Roadmap Roundup August 12, 2026 - Alpha 4.11 Tentative Cards

CIG’s August 12, 2026 Roadmap Roundup accompanies the latest Roadmap update with the usual look at what changed and why. The team also reissued a useful reminder for you: the 1.0 column covers features and content planned for inclusion in or before Star Citizen 1.0, so items shown there may arrive before the full 1.0 release if they become ready sooner.

This update is focused on the Release View for Alpha 4.11, where a sizeable batch of Nyx, Genesis, Starchitect, gear, weapon, customization, and Wikelo-related cards have all been set to Tentative. Quite the shopping list, then — assuming your shopping list includes terraforming, plasma hazards, and eyebrows.

Nyx I

Nyx I is a coreless planet orbiting closest to the sun in the Nyx system. Once considered impossible to terraform, it has undergone a drastic transformation through new experimental technology developed by Genesis Terraforming and now features a robust ecosphere capable of supporting a wide diversity of life.

Starchitect Mission Pack

This card covers new sandbox missions across sprawling planetary locations, designed to keep players planetside for longer with a focus on more localized objectives.

Genesis: Planet Tech v5

Planet Tech V5 is a complete rework of how planets are built, populated, and rendered. It introduces emergent biomes driven by realistic physical properties, scatters plants and rocks according to their natural behaviour, reworks terrain shading across materials like sand, dirt, rock, and snow, and moves generation and spawning to the GPU to support denser environments with improved rendering performance.

Genesis: Starchitect

Starchitect is a new procedural world-building system that automatically scatters sectors, clusters, and locations across planetary bodies while constructing locations from modular tiles. Using Genesis data to identify suitable placement for game objects, Starchitect introduces a new workflow for populating planets and building large-scale locations across an expanding universe.

Genesis: Population Manager

The Population Manager tech is intended to load balance the server population and create inhabitants appropriate to their local environment, while enabling more complex interactions between agents focused on a dynamic context.

Starchitect POIs

Starchitect POIs add new ground locations owned by various factions, offering a variety of procedurally generated combinations of building compositions. These locations will support a wide variety of mission archetypes and gameplay loops.

Heavy Combat Armor

This card implements a heavy combat armor in the persistent universe.

Character Customization Update (Brows)

This update implements three new eyebrow styles and updates six existing options to bring them up to the current visual quality standard.

Kastak Arms "Verdict" LMG

The Kastak Arms "Verdict" LMG is a medium-range weapon that builds heat through sustained fire before unleashing devastating superheated plasma projectiles with its alternate fire mode.

Kastak Arms "Hellion" Pistol

The Hellion Plasma Pistol is a high-velocity plasma weapon that creates hazardous impact zones, allowing operators to rapidly deploy multiple areas of denial across the battlefield.

New Wikelo Ship Offerings: Tiburon

This card adds an Aegis Tiburon with a unique base livery and upgraded components as a reward for completing a new addition to the variety of available Wikelo’s Emporium contracts.
