This Week in Star Citizen - June 29, 2026

Alien Week is still rolling through the 'verse, with CIG continuing its annual celebration of the cultures and technologies found beyond Human space. The 2026 festivities run through July 6 and include the Xeno Craft Challenge, where creators are invited to bring alien cultures to life through food, art, props, models, and costumes for a chance to win alien ships.

You can also enter the Show Us Your Colors contest before it wraps up on June 30. Meanwhile, the June 2026 issue of Jump Point has arrived for Subscribers, featuring a deep dive into the development of the Anvil Odin, a look at the elegant design philosophy behind the Origin M80, and a trip into the world of Xi'an meditation. Civilized, contemplative, and probably still more dangerous than it sounds.

On Deck This Week

On Tuesday, the next issue of the Squadron 42 newsletter rolls out, introducing more members of the crew aboard the UEES Stanton and offering another glimpse at the people you'll serve alongside during the campaign.

Wednesday brings the release of Alpha 4.8.3: The Return of Xenothreat. The outlaw group is back in Stanton with a new event featuring five concurrent ship combat contracts. From boarding an Idris to defending civilians and taking the fight directly to Xenothreat forces, you'll earn rewards while helping drive the invaders back.

Also on Wednesday, CIG will publish a new Roadmap Update, outlining content currently planned throughout July and August. The June 2026 PU Monthly Report will follow with a behind-the-scenes look at the work teams have been tackling over the past month.
