This Week in Star Citizen: November 2, 2026 — PTU, Roadmap and Monthly Report
A roadmap update and monthly report arrive together on Wednesday. Here’s the week’s schedule, what changed on the 4.10.3 PTU and what remains in testing.
Wednesday is the date to watch this week: the October development report and a fresh roadmap update are due together. Meanwhile, Alpha 4.10.3 remains on the PTU after a weekend of testing open to all backers, with Vanduul encounters and the Skarnov rifle receiving another round of changes.
The week’s dates
- Tuesday, 3 November: November’s subscriber announcement and newsletter, including the month’s new flair.
- Wednesday, 4 November: the October PU Monthly Report, Roadmap Update and accompanying Roundup.
- Friday, 6 November: the weekly RSI newsletter.
Further ahead, Barcelona hosts the final stop of the 2026 Bar Citizen World Tour on Saturday, 14 November.
What you can play: 4.10.3 is still on the PTU
Live remains on Alpha 4.10.2. The current public test build is 4.10.3-PTU.13055118, released on 30 October. All backers can access the test, but the weekly announcement does not give a Live release date. The team is reviewing weekend reports and making further improvements.
For crews heading into Nyx, the latest changes include quantum travel to Shattered Blade Raid locations, a correction for contracts failing to award blueprints and reduced Mauler health. Each location now has one blue cryopod, and Vanduul cannot be stunned or moved with a tractor beam.
Access to the test does not mean every contract will appear immediately. Players responding to the patch notes report reputation restrictions on many assignments. Our Vanduul Incursion guide separates the contract families and their originally announced ranks from the access issues being reported now.
The Skarnov has changed since its first videos
The rifle’s energy damage rises from 10 to 30 in the 30 October notes, while its electrical chain reaches 7.5 metres instead of 3.8. Rapid-fire recoil is slightly reduced, and the barrel port now accepts energy-weapon attachments. Early videos showing slow kills were recorded before these changes.
Finding ammunition is a separate problem. Players in the All-Waves thread report missing shop stock and an ammunition-blueprint issue, so the four shops named in the original testing announcement should not be treated as guaranteed sources. The updated Skarnov rifle guide covers the balance changes and includes the earlier combat footage with its date made clear.
Gifting changes are now in effect
The 30 October gifting rollout has happened. New eligible gifts are designated at checkout and sent directly by email, rather than entering the buyer’s hangar first. Existing hangar gifts and gift codes are grandfathered under the arrangements described in the official FAQ. An unclaimed new gift is automatically refunded after 30 days.
Centaurus and Skylark in October’s Jump Point
The new magazine issue goes behind the scenes of the Constellation Mk V Centaurus and Skylark.
For the wider playable changes, our 4.10.3 PTU overview also covers VR scope controls and the potential fixes being tested alongside the combat additions.
