Advocacy stealth inside a fast, compact airframe

The EX began as a specialist design for UEE Advocacy surveillance and extraction work. It gives up some of the standard Razor's outright racing speed in exchange for a lower signature, but remains fast and maneuverable enough to use discretion rather than armor as its first line of protection.

Watch the target without advertising the observer

This is not a fighter disguised as a racer. Its value comes from reaching a good observation point, staying less visible while the pilot gathers information, and retaining enough speed to make a clean departure when the job is done.

Development note: The Razor EX is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.1.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.

The Razor EX surveillance conversion

Signature-reducing construction supports the quiet approach, Razor-derived handling helps the pilot work in confined or fast-moving situations, and a light emergency armament provides an option when avoiding signal is no longer possible.

Surveillance and extraction

The EX was originally developed for the UEE Advocacy, giving the variant a clear purpose beyond the Razor family's racing roots.

Racing-bred handling

It is slower than the standard Razor, but the compact airframe remains fast and maneuverable when the pilot needs to reposition or leave.

Two Size 2 gun mounts

A pair of Size 2 gun hardpoints gives the pilot a practical defensive response if the quiet approach fails.

Sensor coverage on the Razor EX

The Razor EX's scanner position and field of view determine which signals can be observed without turning the whole mission into a close pass.

Recorded context on the Razor EX

Time, location, heading, and environmental conditions stay attached to the Razor EX's readings so another crew can interpret them.

The Razor EX stealth package

Signature-reducing materials and stealth components help keep the Razor EX off hostile scanners during surveillance and extraction work.

Stealth package

Observe Identify the target before the team arrives

Use the stealth package to resolve signals and hazards before nearby ships enters the same area.

Record Record time, position, and conditions in the Razor EX

Attach location, heading, time, and conditions to the Razor EX's findings around the stealth package.

Report Report the finding while it matters

Send the report while the information from the stealth package can still change the wider plan.

Gathering information without advertising its presence

The Razor EX controls exposure before it controls the fight, keeping emissions low until the stealth package can be used without wasting the quiet approach.

  1. Plan the approach around the information needed

Power, shields, cooling, and active systems should match how quietly the Razor EX needs to approach.

  2. Bring stealth package into effective sensor range

Aboard the Razor EX, target position, support, and movement are the advantage earned by staying difficult to detect.

  3. Bring the stealth package into the briefest exposure

The Razor EX's operator uses the stealth package to identify signals, routes, and hazards before nearby ships commits to the same area.

  4. Bring the collected data home

For the Razor EX, breaking line of sight and controlling emissions help the ship recover its stealth advantage instead of remaining an ordinary visible fighter.

Low signature, quick response, and enough firepower for an emergency

The EX is built to gather information or recover someone without lingering. Its two Size 2 gun mounts and two Size 1 missiles are defensive tools, not the reason to choose the ship.

01 Two Size 1 missiles

A pair of Size 1 missiles adds a small reserve of ranged firepower without turning the EX into a dedicated combat ship.

02 Designed for one pilot

One pilot manages flight, sensors, signature control, and the light weapon package from a small, focused cockpit.

03 Razor EX sensor data

Range, identity, heading, and local conditions give the Razor EX a report nearby ships can use.

04 Controlled approach

The Razor EX must reach effective sensor range without turning observation into an avoidable fight.

One pilot manages the quiet approach and the fast departure

The Razor EX puts flight, sensors, signature control, and light defensive weapons in one compact cockpit. The pilot's attention is better spent remaining difficult to detect than trying to manage a prolonged fight.

Keep the mission simple enough for one seat

A clear observation goal and departure route let the pilot concentrate on the information that matters instead of collecting everything in reach of the sensors.

Approach Set power and emissions before reaching the target

Set the EX's power and emissions early, before nearby sensors begin looking for it.

Observation Collect the information the team needs

The pilot should know what must be seen or confirmed and how long the ship can remain nearby without increasing risk.

Departure Use the Razor airframe when it is time to leave

The EX retains enough speed and maneuverability to end the observation quickly without relying on heavy armor or a large weapon package.
