Star Citizen Roadmap Roundup - June 3, 2026

CIG’s June 3, 2026 Roadmap Roundup sets Space Combat Missions - Defend Location to Released for Alpha 4.8 and marks several Alpha 4.9 cards as Tentative.

Star Citizen Roadmap Roundup - June 3, 2026

CIG’s June 3 Roadmap Roundup brings another fortnightly look at what has shifted on the Star Citizen Release View, giving you a clear read on which cards are moving toward the landing pad and which are still circling in the traffic pattern.

CIG also reiterated how the 1.0 column works: it represents features and content planned for inclusion in or before Star Citizen 1.0. That means you may see some of those items arrive before the full 1.0 release, as ready features move left into a point patch column. Sensible enough, which is suspiciously rare in aerospace logistics.

Alpha 4.8

Space Combat Missions - Defend Location

A new Mission Pack is being implemented for players answering the call from either Foxwell or Headhunters. You’ll defend asteroid bases throughout the systems, stop attackers from destroying key resources, and, in some cases, escort escaping workers to safety.

  • This card has been set to Released.

Alpha 4.9

Siege of Orison

Siege of Orison is being implemented as a new operation, introducing instanced FPS gameplay where players assault Nine Tails-controlled platforms in coordinated, team-based encounters tied to mission-driven progression.

  • This card has been set to Tentative.

Instancing is being implemented to create closed gameplay spaces with controlled accesses. Access is handled through instance prerequisites, party leader ownership, and safeguards that prevent or remove ineligible players.

The Super Heavy armor class is being implemented, allowing players to equip and operate a new category of powerful super heavy weapons.

  • This card has been set to Tentative.

Apocalypse Arms \"Vendetta\" HMG

A brand new weapon type is being implemented: the Heavy Machine Gun, arriving as the Apocalypse Arms \"Vendetta\" HMG. It is belt-fed, usable with the new Super Heavy Armor and its dedicated ammunition backpack, and delivers sustained high-rate fire from a large rotating barrel while carrying up to four magazines of ammunition.

  • This card has been set to Tentative.

Combat Clothing

Combat Clothing is being implemented as lightly armored apparel designed to offer a more stylish look while staying viable in combat situations.
