He got in touch with the folks at Cloud Imperium Games via Chuck Gannon. CIG read some of Griffin's previous work, liked it, and asked him to submit some story ideas, etc. He did one CIG liked. They got a contract going, and Griffin wrote A Separate Law in 2013.
