Early Life
He first got into art through comic books in the 1970s. He was collecting John Buscema and the likes of Conan, Tarzan and the Hulk.
In junior high Justin and a friend started to create their own role-playing game. They were playing D&D and that kind of thing and tended to draw their own characters.
He was paiting banners and murals for restaurants and more by day while taking night art classes at a local college when he got a job at Interplay.
Trivia
- He prefers to use oils, but mostly use the computer because most of his work is concept art for film.
- His grandmother was a cell painter on Pinocchio, and some of her songs ended up in Fantasia.
