Logan Jorrit

Doctor Logan Jorrit is chief scientist of Associated Sciences & Development who is currently embroiled in a scandal involving unethical research practices. Agent Arken Mallor from Hockrow Agency is currently hiring citizens to investigate Jorrit's past.

Project Hyperion

After joining ASD, Jorrit's research focused on regenerative genetics in an effort to improve the human condition. Codenamed Project Hyperion, these studies involved capturing an unidentified Vanduul and performing experiments on him/her at ASD's Onyx research labs, as well as at least one human subject who was repeatedly killed and regenerated in order to improve regeneration technology. I will not stop pursuing our ascension. Humanity can be so much more than we are and I am finished being constrained and deterred by small minds with no vision.

Coming back to Onyx has unearthed a lot of feelings: anger that the suits at ASD lacked the vision to understand what I was doing, along with their unwillingness to acknowledge their ignorance. At the same time, I am exhilarated at what we were able to accomplish, the questions we were just starting to ask. But time has granted me the wisdom to see the path forward, to know the direction we couldn't see back then. What I'm doing now will change things. It will redefine what it means to be human.

It seems my team was correct. Pushing the experiment to a larger scale created unforeseen flaws. Though the destruction and injury to the team is regrettable, they should acknowledge the vast amount of information that we learned and were only able to learn by pushing the boundaries of our experiment.

Project Lazarus

Reports surfaced in June 2955 that Jorrit was involved in undisclosed scientific experimentation on irradiated creatures hidden within the great storms of Pyro I as part of Imperator Addison's push to solve the ongoing regeneration crisis. While his current whereabouts remain unknown, recent discoveries suggest he may have left more behind than just his research.

Day 96. This is it: the breakthrough I knew would happen. The specimen holds answers far beyond their comprehension. Even the infants served my purpose. They need an end to the Regen Crisis and I will deliver it—despite my colleagues' protests. That is why I am essential! Where they see life, my mind sees the desire, the data, locked in flesh, that must be... harvested. Science will not cower to moralistic fear. Progress requires clarity, not sentiment. To discover is to survive. To evolve is to rule. Once again they put their future in the hands of science, yet still refuse to trust its judgment, its results! It's my responsibility to push forward. I must—I will—save us all!
