Novian Crossbow

The UltiFlex Novian Crossbow is a cross-promotional item with Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues. It uses deploying bolts to avoid having to carry a quiver.

It became available to all players in the PTU for Alpha 4.8 as a blueprint that can be found during the Tactical Strike Group missions that are now reputation locked behind Intersec lvl3.

Players who supported both Star Citizen and Shroud of the Avatar (at the ‘Immortal Adventurer’ pledge level or above) between 2012 and 2014 can get a special exclusive skin variant by submitting a customer service ticket with a screenshot of their Shroud of the Avatar account page displaying their User ID and proof of purchase. Once verified, the variant will be added directly to the players My Hangar section on the RSI website.

Original concept

Trivia

• Richard Garriott, the creator of Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, is a friend of Chris Roberts and appears of Star Citizen lore as Henry Garrity. They used to work together at Origin Systems.
• Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues has a crashed Star Citizen spaceship and an alien artefact.
• Already in Ultima there was a crashed Kilrathi ship from Wing Commander.
• Novia means girlfriend, fiancé, or bride in Spanish.
