F7A Hornet MK II Guide, Specs & Features
What to know
The Anvil F7A Hornet Mk II is the UEE Navy's baseline space-superiority fighter. Six guns, missile racks, a replaceable central module, and the compact Mk II airframe give one pilot a no-compromise military fighter for patrol, interception, escort, and strike work.
F7A Hornet MK II specifications
A military Hornet built to control the airspace
The F7A Hornet Mk II updates Anvil's carrier fighter for modern fleet operations. Two Size 4 wing guns provide the main punch, while twin Size 3 guns in both the nose and top turrets bring the total battery to six. Missile racks add guided firepower without taking control away from the pilot.

The full military loadout on the Mk II frame
Compared with the civilian F7C Mk II, the F7A carries the complete military gun package as standard. It remains a compact, responsive single-seat fighter rather than becoming a slower heavy fighter.

Development note: The F7A Hornet MK II is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.23.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Six guns, missiles, and one pilot
The pilot controls two Size 4 wing guns, four Size 3 turret guns, and the missile racks from one cockpit. The replaceable central module preserves the Hornet family's ability to trade the standard ball turret for compatible equipment when the mission requires it.

The F7A Hornet Mk II is the UEE Navy's baseline carrier fighter, used for combat air patrol, interception, escort, ground attack, and strike operations.
A Size 4 gun beneath each wing gives the pilot the F7A's hardest direct-fire option.
The nose turret carries two Size 3 guns close to the centreline for concentrated forward fire.
The standard C5-173f ball turret adds another two Size 3 guns above the hull.
A small 2-SCU cargo capacity gives the fighter room for equipment and supplies without changing its combat focus.
The Mk II carries the Hornet's military role into a newer, cleaner airframe designed for present-day UEE service.
The F7A Hornet Mk II's military loadout
Two Size 4 wing guns deliver the heaviest direct fire. Twin Size 3 guns in the nose turret and another pair in the top ball turret fill out the battery, while two Size 4 missile racks provide guided weapons for targets that should not be approached with guns alone.

Six guns backed by Size 4 missile racks
The two wing guns provide the F7A's hardest direct hit and remain under the pilot's immediate control.
The nose and top turrets add four Size 3 guns close to the fighter's centreline, concentrating the whole battery ahead of the cockpit.
The standard top ball turret can be replaced with another compatible Hornet module, trading part of the gun battery for a different capability.
Control the airspace around the fleet
The F7A Mk II launches for combat air patrol, interception, escort, or strike work. Its pilot identifies the most important threat, uses missiles or guns at the appropriate range, and remains close enough to protect the formation rather than chasing an unimportant target.

-
Watch the route around the formation
The F7A patrols the approaches to a carrier group or convoy and checks targets before they can threaten slower ships.
-
Engage the most dangerous target first
Speed and responsive handling let the pilot move toward the aircraft or strike ship posing the clearest danger to the formation.
-
Choose missiles or the six-gun battery
The missile racks force a target to react at range, while the two Size 4 and four Size 3 guns provide concentrated direct fire once the F7A closes in.
-
Return ready for another patrol
Ammunition, missiles, fuel, damage, and the condition of the replaceable central module are checked before the fighter launches again.
Military systems inside the Mk II airframe
The F7A Mk II is designed around a simple idea: give one pilot the weapons, control, and flexibility needed to protect a carrier group, intercept hostile ships, or lead a strike without moving up to a larger crewed fighter.
The pilot also has two Size 4 missile racks for guided attacks alongside the six-gun battery.
The top ball turret can be removed and replaced with compatible Hornet modules such as the WillsOp Long Look radar.
One pilot handles flight, targeting, all weapons, shields, and damage awareness from the Mk II cockpit.
The compact airframe is built for fleet-carrier operations and keeps the responsiveness expected from a medium fighter.
One pilot controls the complete F7A loadout
The F7A Mk II keeps flight, targeting, six guns, missiles, shields, and damage awareness under one pilot. Clear priorities matter because there is no second crew member to divide the workload.
Keep the fighter focused on the fleet's main threat
The F7A gives one pilot several weapon options, but each patrol still needs a clear target priority and a clear reason to leave the formation.
The pilot watches the protected ships and nearby fighters so an interception does not open another route toward the fleet.
Missiles provide guided fire before the six-gun battery becomes the better choice for sustained direct fire.
The standard ball turret maximizes gun firepower, while another compatible Hornet module can support a more specialized mission.
