- His favorite designs from science fiction movies ans shows are the Slave One, the Leonov from 2010, all of Doug Chiang ships and the Tron Replicator.
- When he was young he lived close to an airforce base and would regularly to go to airshows
- He studied transportation design
- During the concept phase for the Mustang, the units of measurement were off from his setup on Maya to the units being used for modelers in 3DS Max. This meant that as the pilot attempted to enter the cockpit the doorway was too small to fit the character so you were stuck in the hole behind the cockpit where the elevator is located. This coined the term around the office of “The Hobbins Hole".
