Freight elevators can be found in hangars, on the wings of distribution centers, around the external area of the cargo deck of space stations equipped with one and at some outposts. They have a cargo grid that allows for a variety of cargo types to be snapped on or off via tractor beam (or by hand) for transfer. A nearby console allows the player to select which items from local inventory they would like to withdraw. It can also be used to deposit any items currently within the elevators space. unloads at an external freight elevator.
