The Ngii, also known as the Yao'yao after the sound it makes, or the Yengi Cat by speakers of UEE Standard, are a semi-aquatic domestic animal indiginous to RyiXy'an. They have lived beside the Xi'an since the advent of farming, and serve as a popular means of pest control.
Ngii are typically allowed to roam free in the homes of their companions, sleeping on perches which are meant to mimic the low tree branches native to their home.
