A mobile security post for places without a perimeter

The MTC is designed to move with miners, builders, recovery crews, and other teams working far from a protected landing zone. The driver can operate the roof turret alone, or a second crew member can take control from the folding rear seat while the vehicle moves through difficult terrain.

Protection for everyone aboard

Its role is broader than carrying guns. The MTC gives a security team transport, observation, personal equipment storage, and enough firepower to respond when a remote worksite attracts trouble.

Development note: The MTC is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 4.1.1. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.

The MTC working far from support

A twin-gun remote turret deals with immediate threats, light protection helps the crew stay in the vehicle, and the rear storage system carries suits, personal weapons, tools, and four small cargo boxes.

Twin-gun remote turret on the MTC

The roof turret carries two Size 2 guns and can be controlled by the driver or a second crew member seated behind them.

Light defensive protection

A Size 0 shield and deployable armor plates over the side windows help protect the crew from small-arms fire.

Rough-terrain mobility on the MTC

Responsive ground handling lets the MTC patrol the uneven terrain commonly found around remote industrial operations.

MTC's driver and gunner awareness

The crew coordinates movement, targets, and the location of friendly forces from one vehicle.

Weapon coverage on the MTC

Terrain and hull position determine which threats the gun battery can reach without exposing the whole MTC.

The MTC's mobile security package

The MTC's remote roof turret carries two Size 2 guns and can be controlled by the driver or a second crew member. A Size 0 shield, deployable window armor, suit lockers, weapon racks, and rear storage support the patrol around that weapon system.

Deterrence Keep the twin-gun turret ready above the patrol

Two Size 2 guns give the MTC enough visible force to protect a remote worksite and respond to threats on the ground.

Crew choice Drive alone or hand the turret to a second operator

The driver can control the remote turret, while a folding rear position lets a second crew member manage it during a busier patrol.

Field equipment Carry the team and the gear it needs

Suit lockers, weapon racks, internal stowage, and four small cargo boxes keep protective equipment and supplies inside the same vehicle.

Protecting a remote worksite

The MTC carries a small security team, its twin Size 2 turret, protective equipment, and patrol supplies to the places where industrial crews are working without a fixed perimeter.

  1. Brief the team before departure

Access roads, active machinery, valuable equipment, and evacuation points should be clear before the patrol begins.

  2. Patrol the route and watch for threats

The driver moves between exposed approaches while the turret operator watches the ground the vehicle cannot face directly.

  3. Use the twin Size 2 turret

The remote guns provide immediate force, while shields and window armor help protect the team during the response.

  4. Bring the team and its equipment back safely with the MTC

Cargo boxes, suit lockers, weapon racks, and internal storage let the MTC replenish the patrol before it moves out again.

Two Size 2 guns backed by protection and field equipment

The roof turret is the visible deterrent, but the lockers, racks, cargo space, shield, and window armor are what make the MTC useful for a complete patrol rather than a short drive-by response.

01 Suit and weapon storage

Two suit lockers and dedicated racks carry one Size 4-5 weapon, four Size 2-3 weapons or tools, and four Size 1 sidearms or tools.

02 0.5-SCU cargo area

The rear cargo space holds four 0.125-SCU boxes for ammunition, supplies, samples, or equipment needed on patrol.

03 3.75-SCU internal stowage

Three storage lockers provide additional enclosed space for smaller items that should remain organized and protected.

04 Targeting and visibility on the MTC

For the MTC, clear sightlines and target calls help the crew bring the gun battery onto the greatest threat to nearby units.

Two people can divide the MTC's patrol responsibilities

The driver keeps the vehicle moving through rough terrain while a second crew member operates the roof turret and watches the wider site. The driver can still control the turret when working alone.

Add a gunner when the patrol becomes busy

A second operator gives the MTC more awareness and lets the turret remain active while the driver concentrates on cover, access roads, and nearby workers.

Driver Keep the patrol mobile and close to the worksite

The driver chooses the route, protects the vehicle's position, and avoids placing heavy security equipment in the way of active work.

Gunner Control the twin Size 2 remote turret

The folding rear station lets a second crew member track threats while the MTC is moving or changing direction.

Equipment Carry the team's suits, weapons, and supplies

Dedicated lockers, racks, stowage, and four small cargo boxes keep the security loadout inside the patrol vehicle.
