DEFENSECON 2956 TWITCH DROPS — TAILWIND MURRAY CUP SET
DefenseCon 2956 is bringing a little extra incentive to keep one eye on the show floor and the other on Twitch. Link your RSI and Twitch accounts, put in the watch time on any eligible stream during the campaign window, and the Tailwind "Murray Cup" Set is yours — helmet and flight suit included. No Prime subscription needed, no complicated hoops to jump through.
Here is everything you need to know to make sure the reward lands in your hangar before the campaign closes.
Twitch Drops are in-game rewards earned by watching participating streams on Twitch. With your Star Citizen account linked to your Twitch account, watching any eligible Star Citizen stream for the required watch time will automatically unlock the campaign reward. Once the threshold is met, the item appears in your Twitch Drops inventory, where you claim it to your RSI account.
THE TAILWIND MURRAY CUP SET
The DefenseCon 2956 campaign reward is the Tailwind "Murray Cup" Set. Watching four hours of eligible streams earns the complete set, which includes the Tailwind Helmet Murray Cup and the Tailwind Flight Suit Murray Cup.
The Drops campaign runs alongside DefenseCon 2956 from May 14 through May 27. Watch time must be accumulated before the campaign closes — there is no carry-over after the window ends.
To take part, link your Twitch and RSI accounts through your RSI Account Settings under Linked Accounts. Once connected, watch any Star Citizen stream marked Drops Enabled on Twitch while logged in to the linked account. After four hours of eligible watch time, head to twitch.tv/drops/inventory and click Claim. The reward will appear in your RSI Hangar shortly after.
NOTE — Twitch Prime and Prime Gaming are not required. A standard Twitch account linked to your RSI account is all you need to participate.
Any Star Citizen stream on Twitch marked Drops Enabled counts toward the reward. From May 14, any community streamer who opts in to the Twitch Drops campaign can host it, meaning watch time accumulates across multiple channels as long as each one carries the Drops Enabled tag.
Watch-time progress can be tracked at twitch.tv/drops/inventory while logged in to your Twitch account. When the four-hour threshold is reached, a Claim button will appear on the Drop. Clicking it sends the reward to your RSI account, where it will appear in your Hangar.
Twitch accounts can be unlinked at any time from RSI Account Settings under Linked Accounts. To connect a different account, unlink the existing one first and then repeat the linking process.
Each RSI account can be linked to only one Twitch account, and each Twitch account can be linked to only one RSI account. Multiple-account pairings in either direction are not supported.
If the reward does not appear in your RSI account after claiming, run through the following before contacting support: confirm the correct Twitch and RSI accounts were linked, verify that watch time was accumulated while logged in to the linked Twitch account, check that the Drop was actively claimed on Twitch rather than left as unlocked, and confirm you are logging in to the correct RSI account on the receiving end.
If Twitch shows the Drop as claimed but it still has not appeared in your Hangar after some time, contact Player Support at support.robertsspaceindustries.com for assistance.
