This Week in Star Citizen – February 16, 2026
Love is still drifting through the lanes after Coramor, and the ‘verse is buzzing with everything from industrial overhauls to Lunar New Year celebrations. This week brings new missions, fresh tech previews, and plenty of ways to jump into the action whether you’re flying solo or rolling with a full crew.
Argo’s latest workhorse, the MOTH, officially entered the scene with all the trimmings: a Behind the Ships deep dive, a full Q&A, and a slick trailer showing off its role bridging small and large-scale salvage. On the gameplay side, the introduction of new Industrial missions now gives you more freedom to take on resource-focused work your way. And if you're tracking future gear, the latest Roadmap Update revealed new armor sets headed for Alpha 4.7, including outfits for a fresh Nyx-based faction called the Claw Salamanders.
Coming Up This Week
The Red Festival kicks off on Tuesday, marking the Lunar New Year and ushering in the Year of the Rat for 2956. Expect in‑engine festivities and themed events across populated systems.
On Thursday, Star Citizen Live returns with a deep dive into industrial gameplay and other non‑combat roles. Lead Systems Designer Thorsten and Lead Mission Designer Elliot will walk through the larger industrial vision and the new Industrial Missions introduced in Alpha 4.6. You can catch the show on February 19 at 15:00 UTC.
Later in the week, Evocati testers will get their hands on a new Tech Preview centered on the Inventory Rework and Crafting systems. Meanwhile, the weekly RSI Newsletter lands Friday, as usual, for anyone subscribed.
Finally, Enter ATMOSPHERE 2956 takes over Sydney on Saturday, February 21, bringing together the Australia and New Zealand community for racing, dogfighting showcases, and meet‑and‑greets hosted by ATMO Esports. It marks a decade since the last CIG visit to Australia, and Chris, Sandi, and Zyloh are heading in to celebrate with the local community.

Vision Quest Truth
Smuggling Origin 300
Known as Pinecone, this poisonous main‑sequence dwarf sits on the far edge of the green band and is often overshadowed by Kallis VI. The locals might be used to its quirks, but even seasoned engineers argue that no system can replace experience when navigating hazards around the star.
Farther out lies The Hive, a high‑pressure coreless planet with an equally mysterious history. A deeper survey uncovered a cache of Kr'Thak weapons and war machines, sparking tense exchanges—and at least one unsettling encounter with a being that wasn’t pleased by a missing answer.
Battlestations: Crew Assignment App
Created by Osiris, Battlestations gives your crew a way to organize roles, responsibilities, and multi‑crew coordination, especially fitting during Coramor’s season of teaming up. You can now access multi‑crew features directly on Spectrum.
