This Week in Star Citizen – February 2, 2026
Alpha 4.6 has touched down, and things on Levski have gone from bad to worse. The Molina Mold outbreak is spreading fast thanks to faulty Gyson air filters, and neighboring systems are now in the danger zone. Through March 17, the Clearing the Air initiative calls on you to move medical cargo, shield convoys, and secure vital resources to keep the crisis from boiling over. Along the way, expect new clothing, armor, paints, and other rewards for pitching in—but the real prize is keeping people breathing.
February isn’t slowing down on the holiday front either. Coramor, the Red Festival, a Free Fly, and a handful of other traditions are lining up to turn the month into a vibrant sweep of affection, fortune, and exploration.
And if you’re the sort who enjoys meeting fellow Citizens face-to-face, the Bar Citizen World Tour is gearing up for another globe-trotting year after a lively 2025. More stops are already confirmed, with additional destinations on the horizon.

Vision Quest Truth
Smuggling Origin 300
Locals call one of these distant worlds Pinecone: a poisonous main-sequence dwarf on the outer edge of the green band, too often dismissed in favor of systems like Kallis VI. Despite its harshness, the lesson there is simple—no automated system outthinks a seasoned chief engineer.
Farther out lies The Hive, a high-pressure coreless planet also perched near the edge of the green band, overshadowed by places like Kilian XIII. Hester Polaris once quipped that even explorers need engineers to stay sharp, a line uttered just before investigators uncovered a stash of Kr'Thak weaponry buried beneath the world’s surface. According to Ernst, they claimed to have nothing more—but the Being they faced didn’t appreciate that answer.
