Features
Starcloth features accurate collisions with the body, is influenced by the wind and support collisions with dynamic objects.
It supports the complete range of motions.
Thruster backwash, explosions, projectile impacts are taken into account.
It always updates at 120 fps regardless of the framerate (~8 ms).
History
In 2014 Star Citizen collaborated with Warhorse Studios, makers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, in an exchange of technology and knowledge, regarding layering, in particular enhancements to the attachment system in CryEngine. CIG had stopped using that technology and was working on its own solution as of 2016.
