Ironclad at work
An opening roof, a wide vehicle ramp, an armored hull, and a detachable command module help the Ironclad carry difficult loads far from well-equipped ports.
Armored bulk transport
Move the load they cannot
Drake's Ironclad wraps immense freight capacity in armor, turrets, and the kind of field-serviceable thinking that keeps independent operators moving when the route is rough and the cargo matters.
Armored heavy freighter
The Ironclad turns its cargo bay into a large open work area. The roof can open for loading from above, while the forward ramp accepts vehicles and bulky equipment that would be difficult to move through a normal cargo door.

An opening roof, a wide vehicle ramp, an armored hull, and a detachable command module help the Ironclad carry difficult loads far from well-equipped ports.

The Ironclad is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 4.8.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Mission systems
Capacity is only the beginning. The Ironclad pairs volume with several ways to reach the load, organize it, protect it, and make it useful as soon as the ship arrives.

The enormous central bay is built for bulk freight, oversized containers, and contracts that would overwhelm conventional haulers.

The command section can separate from the main hull, giving the crew another option when the situation turns against the ship.

Multiple turrets and vertical-launch systems make the Ironclad a difficult target on dangerous commercial routes.

Dedicated secure storage, a garage, habitation, and practical equipment racks support long, independent operations.

Opening the top of the main bay gives cranes and bulk-handling equipment direct access to loads that would be awkward through a conventional cargo door.
A broad ramp lets vehicles and handling equipment move between the hold and the destination without treating every payload as container freight.
Open cargo bay
The crew can lower cargo through the open roof, drive vehicles through the forward ramp, and arrange mixed loads across a broad internal floor. The cargo decides the best loading method.

It suits groups moving mixed equipment, oversized freight, and ground assets that do not fit a simple container route.
Cargo supervisors and engineers are just as important as the people flying the ship when the hold contains a large mixed load.
A very large bay creates flexibility, but it also demands loading equipment, clear manifests, and destinations able to receive the ship.
Heavy logistics
The Ironclad is more than a large cargo figure. Its opening roof, forward ramp, broad hold, and detachable command module give the crew several ways to load and deliver containers, vehicles, and bulky equipment.

Cargo, vehicles, handling equipment, and unloading order are arranged before the bay becomes a crowded industrial space.
Top access supports bulk handling while the forward route accepts vehicles and equipment that need to drive straight through the ship.
The open bay and onboard engineering spaces help the crew handle a complicated load even when the destination has limited equipment.
Vehicles can drive out and cargo can be lifted from the bay without first moving everything to a second transport ship.
Armored logistics
The Ironclad treats its hold as a working logistics deck, combining bulk access, vehicle movement, secure stores, and a command module that can separate from the main hull.

The retractable roof gives cranes and station infrastructure direct access to the 2,200 SCU working bay.

The detachable command section gives the crew an independent control craft when separation becomes the better option.

The broad forward route supports vehicles, cargo movers, and oversized loads without reducing the ship to container freight alone.

Accessible engineering spaces reinforce Drake's field-serviceable approach to a ship expected to operate away from ideal facilities.
Crew and logistics
Crew roles, workload, and support needs shape how this armored heavy freighter performs after departure.
The Ironclad provides a huge hold and several ways to reach it. The crew still needs a clear loading plan, an accurate cargo list, and engineers who can keep the ship running away from port.
