This Week in Star Citizen: April 13, 2026 Schedule and Highlights
Another week in the 'verse opens with industry in the spotlight. CIG is continuing its Captains of Industry push through April 27, with Fly for Free running through April 20 so new pilots can try hauling, mining, and salvaging using a curated lineup of ships. It is very much a celebration of the people who keep the economy turning over, even if they rarely get the holodrama treatment.
That industrial theme carried straight into last week’s releases. The MISC Hull B arrived as the next rung up for cargo haulers, bringing the Hull line’s external cargo spindle setup and tractor-assisted loading to pilots looking for larger contracts. On the ground, Greycat rolled out the UTV, a compact utility vehicle built for scouting, transport, and general surface work. CIG also pointed to its latest Roadmap Update, which highlighted Tactical Strike Groups at QV Extraction Stations, new hairstyles, missions, and more in-development visuals for Alpha 4.8, with the first 4.8 Evocati build targeted for the end of the week.
Outside the game itself, CIG also kicked off a CLX Gaming PC Giveaway ahead of LVL UP EXPO and said it hopes to see players both on the show floor and at Bar Citizen from April 24-26.
What’s on approach this week
Tuesday brings the April Monthly Bundle, described as an armor, weapon, and ship paint bundle aimed at helping you stand firm against the rougher corners of the 'verse.
Thursday’s main event is Star Citizen Live, which will focus on Inventory and Crafting after the Alpha 4.7 update. The stream features Rick Porter, Design Director; Thorsten Leimann, Lead System Designer; and Declan Holmes, Senior Systems Designer I. They’ll be discussing the design behind those systems, how they have evolved, and where they are heading next. The show airs on April 16 at 15:00 UTC on Twitch.
