The new year is settling in, and development across the ’verse has kicked back into gear. With teams returning from the holidays, work on Alpha 4.6 is accelerating, and the January Monthly Report paints a clear picture of momentum. From AI Features to core backend tech, the foundation for 2026 is already taking shape.
Star Citizen Live returned with a deep-dive Tech Talk featuring CTO Benoit Beauséjour, covering everything from Dynamic Server Meshing and Instancing to the transport system, long-term persistence, social layers, and more. Expect festivities, themed extras, and a brief downtime at 11:00 UTC. Argo also steps into the spotlight with a new episode of Behind the Ships, landing the manufacturer’s latest craft squarely in view.
The Roadmap Update arrives the same day, including refreshed 4.6 cards, a preview of some 4.7 additions, and a Progress Tracker update. Also debuting Wednesday: Industrial Missions previously tested in the 4.6 PTU, giving crews new ways to put their heavy hardware to work. Thursday marks the start of a Free Fly event running February 12–23, paired with a Referral Bonus—an easy excuse to bring a few friends aboard.
