This Week in Star Citizen - June 22, 2026
Star Citizen’s June 22, 2026 weekly update highlights Alpha 4.8 discussion, Alien Week 2026, upcoming Bar Citizen events, and the weekly content schedule.
Happy Monday, pilots. This week’s Star Citizen update looks back at a busy stretch in the ’verse, starting with Star Citizen Live’s recent sit-down featuring Chief Technology Officer Benoit Beauséjour and Gameplay Engineering Director Jens Lind. The conversation focused on Alpha 4.8 and the team’s ongoing efforts to act on player feedback, and the full episode is available on YouTube.
Alien Week 2026 is also underway, bringing the Banu-nanza of exotic ships, cultures, and community creativity through July 6. The Xeno Craft Challenge is live too, inviting you to create food, art, props, models, costumes, and other alien-inspired projects for a shot at some alien ships. You also still have time to take part in Show Us Your Colors before June 30, so dust off the paint tin and try not to make anything that looks like it escaped from a Vanduul scrapyard.

Following International Bar Citizen Weekend, attention is already turning to the next Bar Citizen World Tour stop: Chicago, Illinois, on July 18. Community-hosted meetups are also continuing around the globe, including Bar Citizen Montpellier in France this weekend.
