This Week in Star Citizen - March 30, 2026 | Alpha 4.7, Hull B, PU Monthly Report

Alpha 4.7 is now live in the Persistent Universe, and CIG is wasting no time pushing players toward the rougher corners of Nyx. The new "Welcome to the Rock" update opens up abandoned QV Breaker Stations across the Keeger Belt, where rare resources and dormant rock-cracking systems are waiting for anyone brave enough to switch the lights back on. Naturally, some of these forgotten places have company already, because nothing in this galaxy ever stays abandoned for long.

The patch also introduces Crafting T0, with item fabricators letting you create FPS gear, including weapons and armors, using blueprints earned through contracts and materials gathered out in the 'verse. Inventory management has also been updated with a more intuitive presentation, while the RSI Aurora Mk II has officially entered the spotlight with its refreshed design and modular versatility. CIG also points to the latest Roadmap Roundup, where all Alpha 4.7 cards are now marked Released, and the first Alpha 4.8 cards have been introduced, including Refueling Missions and improvements, Flight Suit G-Force Resistance, Ship Hangar Service T0, Vehicle Command Module, the Transport System, and new weapons.

What’s on the flight board

This week’s lineup starts on Tuesday with the next quarterly Squadron 42 newsletter. Wednesday brings a new Behind the Ships episode focused on the Hull B, which CIG says is arriving in the Persistent Universe next week. The March 2026 PU Monthly Report is also scheduled for Wednesday, bringing updates from teams across the company on upcoming releases and longer-term development work. Friday closes out the official cadence with the latest RSI Weekly Newsletter.

Beyond the studio schedule, the community weekend looks lively as well. TheJumpPoint is running the RP PvP Operation Triggerfish event, while Anzia Racing is hosting the Crux Cup TEC 2956 - Stanton Open GP for pilots who prefer their danger measured in lap times instead of body counts. Different roads to disaster, same excellent energy.
