Hurston Security

Hurston Security is the internal security force of Hurston Dynamics. It is also the quasi-police force on Hurston (Stanton I).

History

As Hurston Dynamics continued to expand their manufacturing operations in the 25th century, it became necessary to hire more security personnel to protect valuable stock, monitor employee safety, and guard shipments. Rather than shoulder the continued expense of outsourcing, Hurston would create an internal security force to take over these duties. When Hurston acquired the rights to Stanton I in 2865, it was only natural for their own security personnel to take over the responsibility of ensuring the peace and safety of the planet. A common sight on the streets of Lorville, members of Hurston Security are an imposing presence able to quickly respond when the need arises.

Jurisdiction

Like all corporation-owned planets in the Stanton system, Hurston has its own jurisdiction in which Hurston Security is responsible for law enforcement. This applies within Hurston's gravitational sphere of influence and includes its four moons Arial, Aberdeen, Ita, and Magda.

Like UEE Military and Advocacy agents, local security personnel can require a person to submit to identification scans to establish their identity, conduct searches of their person and vessel, and detain them with due cause.

Hurston Security regularly outsources many of its security missions. Hurston Security is allied with Hurston Dynamics and has a rivalry with the United Workers of Hurston.

Depending on a person's reputation with Hurston Security, there are several partnership levels that can be reached.

PVE bounty hunting missions available are based on rank with the Bounty Hunters Guild; bonus pay is based on rank with Hurston Security.
