Later, journalist Parker Terrell hinted at the show Plain Truth that the real reason was the increased Vanduul pressure and the dwindling recruitment numbers. Harrell also asvered that the real purpose of the Human-Xi'an Trade Initiative was to force the Xi'an to intervene against the Vanduul.
