The kind of fight that suits the Hammerhead
The Hammerhead's character comes from how quickly it can create an angle, bring weapons onto the target, and protect its way out.
COMBAT SPACECRAFT
Put the Hammerhead in control of the engagement
The Aegis Hammerhead is a fast, sub-capital patrol gunship bristling with six manned quad-linked turrets. Handling, protection, and weapon placement work toward the same goal: controlling a short, dangerous engagement.
Combat Spacecraft
These turrets are optimized for anti-fighter and anti-ordnance work and grant the ship an unusual ability to put up a hailstorm of firepower that swiftly removes smaller aerospace threats.

The Hammerhead's character comes from how quickly it can create an angle, bring weapons onto the target, and protect its way out.

The Hammerhead is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.3.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Combat package
The Hammerhead is more than a list of weapons. Its defining strength is the Hammerhead's complete combat loadout, and that strength has to work with handling, sensors, protection, and a planned exit.

The vehicle features a retractable cargo hold designed to hold a maximum of 64 SCU of cargo, with the largest container size it can accommodate being 32 SCU. It can transport vehicles, including an Ursa rover.

The ship has crew quarters that can accommodate up to eight personnel, in addition to a captains ready-room / quarters, and a mess hall featuring a distinct galley.
The ship features six manned turrets, each holding four Size 4 guns. It also has eight racks, each carrying four Size 3 missiles, thirty-two in total.
The vessel has nine personal lockers, each holding up to 1000k uSCU: eight in the crew quarters and one in the captain's quarters.
It has a dedicated engineering station and direct access to components and relays, supporting maintenance and replacement.
Aegis implemented additional internal support within the vessel's bow, designed as a last measure tactic.
Defining feature
The ship features six manned turrets, each holding four Size 4 guns. It also has eight racks, each carrying four Size 3 missiles, thirty-two in total.

The Hammerhead's direct-fire package is built around 4 x S4 guns per mount, 6 turrets and Manned turret control.
The guided or explosive part of the Hammerhead's loadout is 4 x S3 missiles per mount.
Aboard the Hammerhead, clear target calls help the pilot and weapon operators bring their fire onto the same threat.
Find the angle, manage the risk
The Hammerhead gets the most from its the Hammerhead's complete combat loadout when positioning, weapon timing, and a safe exit are treated as the same tactical problem.

For the Hammerhead, identify what matters most and keep the pilot or crew focused on it.
Aboard the Hammerhead, use the ship's speed and handling to bring its weapons to bear without taking needless damage.
At this stage of the Hammerhead's mission, concentrate fire, watch ammunition and shields, and avoid chasing a bad opportunity.
To complete the Hammerhead's mission, create distance, check damage, and decide whether to continue or return.
Tactical details
A successful run depends on more than its Weapon/Utility racks. These systems shape how the Hammerhead approaches danger, handles pressure, and gets home again.

Aboard the Hammerhead, the crew needs the same target and the same timing. Clear calls let the weapons arrive together without pulling the ship away from a safer position.

Fuel, inspection, repairs, supplies, and access to the working systems determine how quickly the Hammerhead can return to heavy gunship work.
The Hammerhead is strongest when its pilot or crew dictates range and position before committing weapons.
In this closer look at the Hammerhead, protection and ammunition are finite, so a safe exit remains part of every successful engagement.
Crew and operation
The Hammerhead depends on clear responsibility for flying, sensors, weapons, engineering, and the decision to leave the fight.
Hammerhead is operated by a crew of 8 people. Assign flight, sensors, weapons, and engineering before contact so the crew can act quickly without losing the same tactical picture.
Everyone aboard the Hammerhead should understand the priority target, the threat picture, and the planned exit.
Aboard the Hammerhead, turrets, missiles, engineering, and flight controls are most effective when responsibility is clear before contact.
When operating the Hammerhead, damage control and a safe route out matter before the first weapon is fired, not only after the fight turns.
