Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2955 Free Fly & Manufacturer Schedule

Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2955 Free Fly & Manufacturer Schedule

The Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2955 is rolling into the floating city of Orison above Crusader, turning the Vision Center into a maze of hangars, galleries, and show floors packed with ships and vehicles. From November 20 to December 3, the expo becomes the central hub of the ‘verse – for veterans hunting for their next flagship and brand-new recruits just trying to find the elevator.

This year’s headliners are huge: the long-awaited RSI Perseus finally steps into the spotlight as a playable heavy gunship, alongside a full rotation of manufacturers, Best in Show celebrations, and an extended finale where nearly everything flyable can be rented and tested. On top of that, Star Citizen is free to play for the entire event, giving anyone a chance to dive in.

Throughout the expo, The Impound will be mirroring that rotation with its own IAE 2955 celebration – timing promotions and discounts around each manufacturer day so pilots can test ships in-game and then secure long-term pledges at some of the best prices available outside the RSI store.

Free Fly: Try Star Citizen for 0 UEC

The foundation of IAE 2955 is the Free Fly event. Across the full duration of the expo:

  • Star Citizen is free to play – no game package required.

  • New and returning players can create an account, download the game, and immediately access the Persistent Universe.

  • A selection of ships is automatically added as temporary loans, and additional ships can be rented directly at the expo.

This year, every account also gets access to Crusader’s Intrepid, a versatile starter/light hauler that makes the trip to Orison feel properly on-brand – arriving at the universe’s biggest ship show in a Crusader-built freighter instead of a stock shuttle.

Once you touch down in Orison:

  1. Travel to the Vision Center via the shuttle network.

  2. Follow the signage to the expo halls.

  3. Use the Traveler Rental terminals along the hallways to rent ships from the current manufacturers for 48 hours at a time.

It’s one of the best opportunities all year to compare different roles – haulers, miners, racers, medics, capital-ship crews – without committing to a pledge first.

How the Manufacturer Rotation Works

From Day 1 through Day 9, one or more manufacturers take over the rental lineup for a 48-hour window. At 16:00 UTC each day, the roster rotates and the next brand (or group of brands) moves into focus.

The physical expo halls in 2955 keep a more consistent layout than previous years, but the rental access is what matters for most pilots: if a manufacturer is featured that day, their ships are highlighted at the terminals and available to rent for free.

Parallel to this, The Impound is staging its own celebration:

  • Matching manufacturer themes – RSI-focused deals on RSI days, salvage/mining bargains on Drake and MISC days, luxury-oriented offers when Origin rolls through, and so on.

  • Timed promotions lined up with the same day ranges, giving pilots a clear rhythm: try it in-game, then secure it permanently if it clicks.

Think of it as a two-track festival: the in-game expo for hands-on testing, and The Impound’s storefront for locking in the ships, vehicles, and upgrades you want to keep.

Day-by-Day Highlights of IAE 2955

Rather than drowning in a giant wall of ship names, here’s what each day is about – the core fantasy and the standout hulls to prioritise.

Day 1 – Roberts Space Industries (Nov 20–21)

Theme: Founding legends, heavy firepower, and medical support

RSI opens the show, and 2955 is a big moment: the Perseus finally arrives as a playable heavy gunship, built to chew through sub-capital threats and anchor serious combat groups. Alongside it, the Polaris brings torpedo-focused corvette action, while the Apollo Medivac and Apollo Triage showcase frontline medical gameplay. Classic Aurora starters, Constellation multi-crew ships, and ground vehicles like the Lynx and Ursa round out the lineup.

On RSI day, The Impound will be leaning into gunships, corvettes, and med-ships – ideal for pilots who fall in love with the Perseus, Polaris, or Apollo series during their trial runs.

Day 2 – Origin Jumpworks (Nov 21–22)

Theme: Luxury touring, elegant combat, and racing

Day 2 is all about style. From the sleek 100-series starters to the iconic 300-series tourers and explorers, Origin brings refined hulls for pilots who want their cockpit views framed by leather and glass. The 400i and 600i Explorer highlight long-range exploration, while the 600i Touring and 890 Jump represent top-tier luxury cruising. Racers like the M50 and 350r, plus the X1 hoverbike variants, keep things fast and flashy.

Expect The Impound’s schedule to spotlight exploration and touring ships on this day – perfect for players who discover they like their space travel with a side of champagne.

Day 3 – Drake Interplanetary (Nov 22–23)

Theme: Scrappy profit, salvage, mining, and “honest” piracy

Drake day leans into rough-around-the-edges industrial and frontier gameplay. The Corsair offers long-range exploration with teeth, while the Caterpillar handles flexible cargo operations. The Vulture and Golem showcase salvage and starter mining, and the Cutlass line covers everything from combat (Black, Blue) to medical support (Red) to troop deployment (Steel). Grav-lev bikes like the Dragonfly and utility vehicles like the Mule fill in the “do-everything on the cheap” fantasy.

This is when The Impound will push industrial bundles and Drake favourites for players who fall in love with the “make it work with what you’ve got” ethos.

Day 4 – Aopoa, Banu, Esperia, Gatac, Grey’s Market (Nov 23–24)

Theme: Alien design, exotic fighters, and strange cargo craft

Day 4 is for pilots who want something that looks like it came from a completely different design language:

  • Aopoa brings the agile Khartu-al, sleek Nox grav bike, and knife-like San’tok.yāi fighter.

  • Banu fields the Defender, a shield-heavy escort fighter built to protect larger vessels.

  • Esperia rolls out replicas and reinterpretations of Tevarin and Vanduul craft – the Blade, Glaive, Prowler, Stinger, and Talon variants.

  • Gatac adds the Syulen, a hybrid Human/Xi’an cargo ship.

“Grey’s Market” surfaces a few oddities like the Shiv, reminding everyone that not all tech comes with a neat manufacturer logo.

The Impound’s celebration here focuses on rare and alien-inspired ships, ideal for players who want their hangar to stand out.

Day 5 – Kruger, Mirai, MISC (Nov 24–25)

Theme: Snubs, cutting-edge combat, and industrial workhorses

This is one of the broadest days:

  • Kruger Intergalactic offers agile snub craft like the P-52 Merlin and P-72 Archimedes, plus its new Wolf line of compact fighters.

  • Mirai dives deep into hybrid Xi’an/Human performance: the Fury snubs, Razor racers, Pulse hoverbikes, and the Guardian heavy fighters in multiple variants.

  • MISC anchors the industrial side with Freelancers, Hull A/C, the Prospector miner, Starfarer refuelers, Reliant variants, and the new Fortune and Starlancer lines for more focused combat and logistics.

For The Impound, this day is ideal for miners, traders, and high-performance combat pilots. Expect to see deals aligned with MISC cargo ships, Mirai racers, and key Freelancer variants.

Day 6 – Anvil Aerospace (Nov 25–26)

Theme: Military heritage, frontline combat, and rescue

Anvil day is always loud. Classic fighters like the Arrow and the updated F7C Mk II Hornet line share the stage with heavy hitters like the Hurricane and F8C Lightning. Multi-crew legends like the Carrack and Valkyrie support long-range expeditions and troop drops, while the Terrapin and Terrapin Medic emphasise scouting and medical support. The new Asgard and Paladin bring modern dropship and gunship roles into the spotlight.

This is where The Impound leans into combat-ready fleets – Hornets, Hurricanes, Carracks, and Lightning-capable accounts for those planning to live in combat contracts.

Day 7 – Argo, Consolidated Outland, Greycat (Nov 26–27)

Theme: Workhorses, starter industry, and ground logistics

Day 7 is pure utility:

  • Argo fields the MOLE miner, RAFT hauler, SRV tug, MPUV shuttles, CSV-SM, and the ATLS power suits.

  • Consolidated Outland brings the Mustang line of starters, the Nomad for independent haulers, and the HoverQuad for off-road travel.

  • Greycat Industrial provides ground logistics and mining with the ROC/ROC-DS, MTC, STV, and PTV.

On this day, The Impound’s promotions track entry-level industrial and utility ships – ideal for players who tried mining, hauling, or support roles in the Free Fly and now want a permanent platform for it.

Day 8 – Crusader Industries & Tumbril (Nov 27–28)

Theme: Heavy lifters, bombers, couriers, and ground armor

Crusader’s roster is made for big jobs with style:

  • A1/C1 Spirits for flexible bombing and cargo.

  • C2/M2/A2 Hercules for heavy hauling and devastating bombing runs.

  • Ares Ion/Inferno for anti-capital ship duties.

  • Mercury Star Runner for data running and fast courier work.

  • Intrepid as a refined starter and light freighter.

Tumbril handles the ground game with Cyclone variants, the Nova tank, and the Storm/Storm AA mini-tanks.

The Impound’s celebration here is built around Hercules, Spirit, and Ares ships, plus select Tumbril vehicles for pilots who discover they like being the hammer in combined-arms fights.

Day 9 – Aegis Dynamics (Nov 28–29)

Theme: Gunship walls, bombers, and long-range fighters

Aegis day is where you go if you want a hangar that bristles:

  • Avenger variants for entry-level bounty hunting and support.

  • Gladius and Sabre lines for nimble fighters with special editions.

  • Hammerhead, Redeemer, and Retaliator for turret-heavy combat and strike bombing.

  • Vanguard variants for long-range, multi-role operations.

  • Reclaimer for deep-space salvage.

This is one of the strongest days for combat-focused players, and The Impound will match it with Aegis-centric deals for everyone who walks away from the Free Fly sold on their aesthetics.

Day 10 – Best in Show (Nov 29)

Every August, Ship Showdown crowns the community’s favourite flyable ships. In 2955, the RSI Polaris took the top spot, with the Anvil Asgard, RSI Zeus Mk II ES, and Anvil Gladiator rounding out the final four.

Day 10 is dedicated to those finalists:

  • All four ships are available to test-fly.

  • Owners of the finalists receive limited-edition Best in Show paints and commemorative items.

  • Rental kiosks across the Vision Center also let you grab any previously featured ship for another round of test flights.

For The Impound, Best in Show day is a celebration of high-prestige centrepieces – with special attention for Polaris, Asgard, Zeus ES, and Gladiator pledges, upgrades, and supporting fleets.

Days 11–14 – The Grand Finale (Nov 30–Dec 3)

The expo winds down with a familiar, chaotic finale: almost every previously available flyable ship returns to the rental terminals.

This is your last opportunity to:

  • Re-test anything you’re still unsure about.

  • Compare two similar ships back-to-back (e.g., Corsair vs. Carrack, Prospector vs. MOLE).

  • Lock in final decisions before the post-IAE period, when price adjustments and stock changes can hit.

The Impound’s finale celebration mirrors this with refreshed promos and catch-up deals – ideal for anyone who spent the first week just flying and only starts thinking about pledges toward the end.

Celebrate IAE 2955 with The Impound

Throughout IAE 2955, The Impound is running its own parallel schedule of offers designed to complement the in-game rotation:

  • Manufacturer-themed days – RSI ships and accounts when RSI is in the spotlight, Origin and luxury explorers on Origin day, industrial and logistics hulls when MISC, Argo, and Greycat are up, and so on.

  • Safe, secure purchases – every pledge sold is owned by The Impound, delivered quickly using verified, protected methods, without the risks associated with open marketplaces.

  • Curated fleet building – from heavy gunships like the Perseus and Polaris to workhorses like the RAFT, Prospector, or Hercules, pilots can test ships during the Free Fly, then build a long-term fleet with carefully selected deals.

If you’re planning your time around the manufacturer schedule, it’s worth planning your shopping calendar the same way: note which days you want to test, and then check The Impound’s IAE 2955 promotions for matching offers.

Tips for Making the Most of IAE 2955

To wrap things up, a few practical suggestions:

  • Pick your focus days – If you love combat, block out Anvil, Aegis, and RSI. If you’re an industrial player at heart, target MISC, Argo, Greycat, and Drake.

  • Use the full 48-hour rental – rentals last long enough to try missions, cargo routes, or bounties; don’t just spin in the hangar.

  • Try outside your comfort zone – exploration ships, med-ships, and support craft often feel very different in practice than on paper.

  • Check The Impound’s daily IAE updates – as manufacturer days roll over, watch for matching promos, discounts, and rare ships surfacing in limited quantities.

IAE 2955 is more than just a sale – it’s a yearly festival where the entire community packs into one place, compares fleets, shares screenshots, and dreams a bit bigger about the future of their hangars. Fly the ships that catch your eye, experiment with new roles, and when you find the ones that really click, The Impound will be ready to help turn those test flights into permanent additions to your Star Citizen legacy.
