This Week in Star Citizen highlights Red Festival’s finale, new roadmap features, upcoming shows, Evocati previews, and the week’s full community schedule.

This Week in Star Citizen – March 2, 2026

Red Festival celebrations are just about to flicker out, but you still have a final day to chase lucky rewards and drop your entry into the Earned Fortune screenshot contest. While you’re doing that, the wider project rolls forward with last week’s Roadmap Update introducing Crafting T0 and the coming Inventory Rework — two pieces that should reshape how you interact with your gear and build toward long-term progression.

The Ship Audio Team also stepped into the spotlight for a Star Citizen Live Q&A, diving into recent sound updates, what’s on the way, and settling office debates about mouth noises. And if you’re a Subscriber, the February Jump Point issue is waiting in your account, packed with looks at Nyx’s evolving rest stops and behind‑the‑scenes coverage of the Argo MOTH and RSI Hermes.

What’s Ahead This Week

Tuesday brings both the Subscriber Monthly Newsletter and the Subscriber Comm-Link.

On Wednesday, the February 2026 PU Monthly Report drops with a cross‑discipline look at development progress and long‑term systems taking shape behind the curtain.

Thursday’s Star Citizen Live returns with a Tech Talk hosted by Sean Tracy at 16:00 UTC on Twitch. Expect deep dives into the engine, tools, character tech, and VR, with community questions sourced through Spectrum.

Evocati testers may also get their hands on the first Tech Preview of the Transport System this week, supporting more flexible instanced content and improved server‑meshing behavior. Tech Preview 4.7 is also targeting release to the Evocati, with Wave 1 shortly afterward.

Meanwhile, Alpha 4.6 continues receiving attention. Recent hotfixes granted outstanding Clearing the Air rewards, and additional fixes are inbound — including resolving NPCs freezing in a cowering stance.

Friday delivers the latest RSI Weekly Newsletter. And to round out the week, Order 66 is hosting their RP PvP event “Dead Man’s Switch” on Saturday, March 7 at 19:00 UTC, where the goal is simple: seize the Wikelo Idris and set off its self-destruct.
