Devon Alonzo was a security chief in Star Citizen lore who represented the long-term residents in his area of Vann, in 2386 they held a local election to designate the region Saorsa and declare it independent from the United Nations of Earth. This proclamation of independence was meant to preempt any attempts by the UNE to bring the region under its control.

He had been on the losing side of the Unification War (2380-2384).
On September 19, 2395 he arrested Mona Avakian and Jayne Belli outside the Cascadia city administration center for applying for a marriage license. Opposition to his action and support for the couple resulted in a massive elections turnout from residents of Cascadia with new members being elected to four out of the five seats on the Regional Council and Alonzo losing his position as security chief.
