Centurion Guide, Specs & Features
What to know
The Anvil Centurion is a mobile short-range air-defense vehicle. A rear gunner controls four Size 4 energy cannons, while the driver uses a separate Size 3 turret and keeps the armored chassis close to the convoy or landing area it protects.
Centurion specifications
Mobile close-range air defense from Anvil
The Centurion protects convoys, landing zones, and ground teams from nearby aircraft. A rear gunner controls the quad battery on a rotating mount, while deployable stabilizers and a wheeled chassis let the crew establish a firing point and move again when the position is exposed.

Four energy cannons with their own gunner
The driver handles terrain and cover while the rear gunner tracks aircraft independently. A separate Size 3 defensive turret gives the vehicle another weapon against threats close to the hull.

Development note: The Centurion is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.17.2. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Four Size 4 cannons for close-range air defense
A dedicated rear gunner, deployable stabilizers, a defensive turret, armor, and wheeled mobility let the Centurion protect nearby ground units from aircraft overhead.

A rear gunner controls the rotating anti-air battery against ships and aircraft at close range.
A separate defensive turret protects the vehicle when threats get too close for the main gunner to ignore the sky.
Retractable legs steady the chassis before the main battery begins sustained fire.
A two-person crew can keep the vehicle moving while the rear gunner tracks aircraft independently.
The chassis can travel with nearby units and move to new cover after the firing position is exposed.
The rear operator can track aircraft with the main battery while the driver watches terrain, cover, and nearby ground threats.
The Centurion short-range air-defense battery
A rear gunner controls the Centurion's rotating quad mount and its main turret. The driver retains a separate Size 3 defensive turret, while deployable stabilizers create a steadier firing platform against aircraft overhead.

Four Size 4 energy cannons backed by a defensive turret
The Centurion needs a clear field of fire and time to deploy before the quad turret can provide its best short-range coverage.
A dedicated rear gunner controls the rotating main battery while the driver keeps the vehicle positioned and watches the ground route.
The secondary turret helps discourage threats that approach too close while the main gunner remains focused on the air.
Protect nearby units from low-flying aircraft
The Centurion stays near a convoy or landing area, deploys its stabilizers, engages aircraft with four Size 4 cannons, and changes cover when the position becomes exposed.

-
Stay near the units that need protection
Keep the Centurion close enough to engage aircraft before they reach the convoy or landing area.
-
Use cover without blocking the sky
Protect the hull with terrain while leaving the rear turret a clear field of fire.
-
Deploy the stabilizers before firing
Give the gunner a steady platform for sustained fire from the four Size 4 cannons.
-
Move to new cover after the engagement
Once hostile pilots know the firing position, retract the stabilizers and leave before they can return.
The Centurion, from crew stations to weapon systems
The Centurion brings its four Size 4 energy cannons backed by a defensive turret to nearby troops and vehicles, with armor and mobility to fire from cover and relocate when needed.
The Centurion's heavy armor protects its occupants from ground fire and attacks from above while crossing a combat area.
The Centurion features 1 SCU internal storage, a 0.5 SCU storage locker, and a dedicated gun rack.
Aboard the Centurion, clear sightlines and target calls help the crew bring the gun battery onto the greatest threat to nearby units.
For the Centurion, armor and careful use of cover protect the vehicle and its crew from return fire.
Keep the vehicle moving while the turret stays active
A two-person crew lets the driver concentrate on terrain and cover while the rear gunner tracks aircraft with the quad battery.
Movement and sky coverage share the same chassis
The Centurion can travel with nearby ground units, deploy into a stable firing position, and move again before return fire reaches it.
The driver keeps the Centurion close to friendly units without trapping it in one firing position.
The rear gunner keeps the main battery on approaching aircraft while the driver handles terrain and cover.
The smaller defensive turret gives the driver another weapon when threats reach the vehicle itself.
