Nova Tank Guide, Specs & Features
What to know
The Tumbril Nova is a three-person battle tank built to support nearby ground units with a high-velocity ballistic cannon, twin Size 2 repeaters, a Firebug energy-missile launcher, armor, and vehicle shields. It stays with the surface fight and delivers heavy fire where...
Nova Tank specifications
One turret for armor, fast threats, and grouped targets
The main cannon handles armored vehicles and other hard targets at range. Twin repeaters give the gunner a faster response against infantry, light vehicles, and aircraft, while the Firebug launcher adds explosive area coverage when a precise cannon round is not the right answer.

A crewed tank that separates driving, gunnery, and support
A pilot, gunner, and support crew member can divide movement, target engagement, ammunition awareness, and damage control. The stand-up cabin, equipment storage, armor, and shields help the Nova stay operational through a longer ground campaign.

Development note: The Nova Tank is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.13.1. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Nova Tank's weapons and protection
Terrain choice, target information, and the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher help the Nova Tank protect the people or vehicles operating around it.

The turret-mounted main gun fires high-velocity rounds for accurate fire against armored ground targets and other hard contacts.
A faster secondary battery covers infantry, light vehicles, and aircraft that do not justify turning the main cannon.
Self-charging explosive projectiles give the crew an area option against grouped ground targets.
Pilot, gunner, and support roles divide terrain control, weapons, awareness, and vehicle condition.
The crew coordinates movement, targets, and the location of friendly forces from one vehicle.
Terrain and hull position determine which threats the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher can reach without exposing the whole Nova Tank.
The Nova cannon, repeater battery, and Firebug launcher
The Nova's main ballistic cannon is built for accurate long-range fire against ground and airborne targets. Two Size 2 repeaters cover infantry and fast contacts, while the Firebug launcher saturates ground targets with self-charging energy missiles.

A long-range cannon, twin repeaters, and an energy missile launcher
The ballistic cannon gives the Nova the accuracy and velocity to engage armored ground vehicles or threaten aircraft at range.
The remote repeater pair is better suited to infantry, light vehicles, and aircraft that do not justify turning the main cannon.
Self-charging energy missiles add an explosive area option when the crew needs more than one precise cannon round.
Take and hold ground with the Nova Tank
The Nova Tank uses terrain for protection while bringing the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher against threats to nearby troops, vehicles, or aircraft.

-
Unload the Nova Tank with its weapons ready
The Nova Tank leaves the carrier with its crew ready and its first firing position already chosen.
-
Use terrain to shield the Nova Tank
Use terrain to protect the Nova Tank without blocking its weapons or separating it from nearby units.
-
Use the Nova Tank's weapons
The Nova Tank's operator aims the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher at the threat that poses the greatest danger to nearby troops or vehicles.
-
Plan transport, ammunition, and repairs for the Nova Tank
The Nova Tank needs a clear route to rearm, repair, or return to its carrier as the fight moves.
Nova Tank: Weapons, protection, and mobility
The Nova Tank brings its main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher to nearby troops and vehicles, with armor and mobility to fire from cover and relocate when needed.

Composite protection and Second Skin shields help the tank remain active while still leaving weak areas the crew must manage.
A larger cabin gives the crew room to move and supports operations that last beyond a short deployment.
One SCU of storage and weapon racks carry supplies for the crew and the work around the vehicle.
Aboard the Nova Tank, clear sightlines and target calls help the crew bring the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher onto the greatest threat to nearby units.
The Nova Tank's crew divides movement, weapons, and awareness
The driver keeps the vehicle positioned and mobile while the gunner or support crew manages the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher, target calls, and threats outside the driver's view.
Driver and gunner, one armored team
The driver handles terrain, cover, and positioning while the gunner controls the main cannon and tracks threats around the vehicle.
The driver chooses cover and a route that leaves the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher clear to fire without trapping the Nova Tank in one position.
For the Nova Tank, target calls and vehicle movement help the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher stay on the priority threat as the fight changes.
Aboard the Nova Tank, short calls about targets, cover, ammunition, and vehicle condition help the crew use the main cannon, repeaters, and missile launcher while moving with nearby units.
