The Cyclone MT's ground-combat package

The Cyclone MT brings the manned turret backed by the guided weapons to nearby ground units, protecting a site, supporting nearby vehicles, or engaging the threats it was built to face. A compartment beside the Cyclone MT's driver-side door provides 1.8 SCU of storage for equipment and supplies. Weapons give the crew a defensive option without changing the Cyclone MT's primary role.

The crew and protection behind the Cyclone MT's weapons

With the Cyclone MT, armor, weapons, and terrain mobility support direct fighting alongside nearby ground units.

Development note: The Cyclone MT is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.13.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.

Cyclone MT's weapons and protection

Terrain choice, target information, and the manned turret backed by the missile load help the Cyclone MT protect the people or vehicles operating around it.

360-degree manned turret

A dedicated gunner controls the rotating Size 1 weapon while the driver keeps the rover moving between firing positions.

Four Size 2 missiles

Two missile racks carry four guided missiles for aircraft, vehicles, or other targets beyond the turret gun's best range.

Three-person combat crew

The driver, gunner, and support position divide movement, weapons, and vehicle awareness during a ground fight.

1.8 SCU of external storage

A compartment beside the driver-side door carries ammunition, equipment, and supplies for the crew.

Driver and gunner awareness on the Cyclone MT

The driver manages terrain and positioning while the gunner tracks threats and friendly units.

Weapon coverage on the Cyclone MT

Terrain and hull position determine which threats the guns and missiles can reach without exposing the whole Cyclone MT.

The Cyclone MT's combat loadout

A manned 360-degree turret carries one Size 1 gun, while two missile racks each hold two Size 2 missiles for four guided shots in total.

Position Choose cover with a clear field of fire

Protect the hull without blocking the turret or missile racks.

Engage Match the weapon to the threat

Use the turret gun at close range and save the four missiles for harder or more distant targets.

Relocate Move before the position is exposed

Use the Cyclone chassis to change cover, resupply, or return to its carrier.

Support ground units with guns and missiles

The Cyclone MT combines a manned 360-degree turret with the guided weapons. The driver uses the rover's speed and terrain mobility to place the gunner where both weapon systems can protect nearby troops and vehicles.

  1. Choose cover with a clear field of fire

Protect the hull while leaving the turret and missile racks free to engage.

  2. Use the turret gun against close threats

The gunner can track infantry, light vehicles, and low aircraft without waiting for the driver to turn the whole rover.

  3. Use the missile load against harder targets

Two missile racks add guided fire when the turret gun is not enough or the target is farther away.

  4. Move before the position is exposed

The driver uses the Cyclone chassis to change cover, resupply, or return to its carrier.

Turret fire and guided missiles on the move

The Cyclone MT combines a fast all-terrain chassis with a dedicated gunner's turret and four Size 2 missiles.

Turret Full-circle gun coverage

The 360-degree turret lets the gunner track threats without forcing the driver to turn the whole rover.

Missiles Guided fire for harder targets

The missile racks add reach and power when the turret gun is not enough.

Mobility Built to change firing positions

Speed and terrain handling help the crew move with nearby units and leave exposed ground quickly.

Storage Supplies for the crew

The 1.8-SCU external compartment carries ammunition, equipment, and supplies without crowding the seats.

Three crew members share the combat workload

The driver handles terrain and cover while the gunner watches the 360-degree turret and missile racks. A third crew position supports awareness and vehicle operation.

A compact crew for mobile fire support

The Cyclone MT separates driving from weapon control, letting the rover move with nearby units while its gunner watches for threats.

Driver Use terrain and keep an exit open

The driver chooses cover, follows nearby vehicles, and moves before hostile fire settles on the rover.

Gunner Control the turret and missile racks

The gunner chooses between close-range turret fire and four guided missiles.

Support Track nearby units and vehicle condition

The third position helps the crew follow target calls, ammunition, damage, and the route back to transport.
