This Week in Star Citizen - July 21, 2025
Hope everyone had a good weekend! There’s a lot to cover this week, so let’s dive in. Alpha 4.2.1: Race for Stanton hit last week, bringing a fresh batch of content and fixes. Big thanks to all the pilots who filed reports — your feedback helped the team push out hotfixes over the weekend, especially around the Resource Drive event. Progress is looking solid, the Intro mission’s availability has improved, and more fixes are queued up.
The devs are also working on Freight Elevator gremlins, including those pesky cases where random entities block them from working. A set of candidate fixes is being validated now and should be heading our way soon.
Recent Updates
Heads up: there’s a scheduled maintenance window on Tuesday, July 22 at 13:00 UTC. Servers will be offline for about 4 hours, so expect a temporary break in your adventures. As always, the Status Page will keep you posted while the work is underway.
We also had a fantastic Bar Citizen World Tour stop in Tampa this past weekend! Lots of laughs, camaraderie, and fresh connections were made. Next up: Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. If you’re heading there, keep your eyes peeled for the crew.
