The attack window that suits the Eclipse
The Eclipse's character comes from how quickly it can create an angle, bring weapons onto the target, and protect its way out.
HEAVY STRIKE
Take the Eclipse to the moment of release
The Aegis Eclipse is a mid-range stealth bomber designed for tactical torpedo strikes on installations or large ships. Every system supports the brief window in which its heavy ordnance can change the fight.
Heavy Strike
Concealed engines and internally-stored weapons allow the Eclipse to stealthily deliver its payload with a minimum of risk of counter-attack. The attack is not complete until the Eclipse has broken contact, checked damage, and reached a safer position.

The Eclipse's character comes from how quickly it can create an angle, bring weapons onto the target, and protect its way out.

The Eclipse is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 3.2.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Strike package
The Eclipse is built around bringing its ordinance to one short attack window. Targeting, protection, timing, and the exit route matter just as much as the weapon itself.

The attack is not complete until the Eclipse has broken contact, checked damage, and reached a safer position.

Route, speed, range, and target tracking need to come together before the Eclipse's heavy weapon is released.

The Wings can be adjusted to space or atmospheric flight to adapt to the environment. During Zero-G space flight, the Eclipse typically adopts the compact wing position to create a slightly smaller profile for harder detection.
The flying wing design of Eclipse allows the ship to stay stealthy. Inconspicuous twin engines are moulded into the shape of the hull, weapons are stored internally until they're ready for use.
Fuel, inspection, repairs, supplies, and access to the working systems determine how quickly the Eclipse can return to combat work.
Defining feature
The Eclipse features a bespoke Torpedo rack that holds three potent size 9 torpedoes, but can also be converted using a bespoke bomb rack to support twenty Thunderball bombs, four Stormburst bombs, or one Colossus bomb.

The Eclipse should commit its heavy weapons where their range and damage justify the risk of the attack run.

Approach, release, escape
The Eclipse is built around a narrow but important window: reach the target, place the heavy weapon, and survive the exit.

For the Eclipse, use current information to identify a target that suits the ship's weapons.
Aboard the Eclipse, plan a route that gives the crew time to aim without staying exposed longer than needed.
At this stage of the Eclipse's mission, keep the ship steady long enough to place its heavy weapons where they will matter.
To complete the Eclipse's mission, move away, check the ship, and decide whether another attack is sensible.
Attack details
The next details explain how the Eclipse supports its ordinance through preparation, the decisive moment, and the return from it.

At 24.5 m by 24.5 m by 5 m, the Eclipse needs landing, storage, and loading spaces that account for its full working footprint rather than length alone.
Owning the Eclipse means planning around its actual combat work: the right route, the right equipment, and enough support to complete the return trip.
On the Eclipse, the published crew figure is one person. That sets the practical workload for the flight crew before any mission-specific specialists are considered.
Crew and operation
One pilot carries the Eclipse through target confirmation, heavy-weapon release, defensive flying, and the exit from the threat area.
The Eclipse is operated by one pilot, so flying, sensors, weapons, and the decision to disengage all compete for the same attention.
The Eclipse's pilot should enter the threat area with the target, the moment to release, and the exit already understood.
A calm target check and deliberate release leave the Eclipse's pilot more attention for the ship and incoming threats.
The Eclipse still has to break contact, manage defensive systems, and reach a safer position after its weapon is away.
