Behind the Ships - RSI Apollo

Sometimes in the shipyards, we get vessels designed to sling lead and missiles. Other times, though, the engineers put their minds to something softer, more vital — ships that are built to save lives. The latest instalment in the "Behind the Ships" series gives us exactly that: a spotlight on medical mastery with the RSI Apollo variants, the Triage and the Medivac.

These two twin craft are built for the healers of the ‘verse. Where other ships bring the pew-pew, these bring the anti-trouble. Whether you’re hauling in the injured from a battlefield or stabilizing pilots lost in deep space mishaps, these Apollos are designed to make sure that when the fight ends, someone’s around to patch everybody back together again.

In this feature, CIG nods to both versions: the Apollo Triage, with its focus on high-efficiency rescue and hospital care, and the Medivac, which balances treatment with a heavier focus on operating in combat-adjacent hot zones. Together, they form a duo meant for the life-saving heroes who’d rather be remembered for who they brought back, not who they shot down.
