October 2026 Subscriber Flair: CQ7 Skullcap and Skeleton Gear
Day of the Vara brings skeletal equipment for your loadout, alongside two very different Drake ships and a conditional route to future in-game rewards.
A skull-faced helmet, a ribcage running down the chest and a rifle covered in pale skulls give October’s Star Citizen flair a suitably grim character. The Day of the Vara collection brings the Behring CQ7 “Skullcap” rifle together with a Virgil ForceFlex “Skeleton” undersuit and Doomsday helmet, carrying the same skeletal motif across weapon and clothing.
October 2026’s Halloween season corresponds to Day of the Vara in the game’s year 2956. Here, the theme works through equipment you can wear and carry: a battle rifle built for close quarters, an undersuit and a helmet, with a Skeleton Kit bringing the armour-and-weapon theme together.
Skulls across the CQ7
Behring’s CQ7 is a next-generation bullpup battle rifle designed for close-quarters engagements. The “Skullcap” edition puts pale skull artwork over a black base coat, with the pattern extending along the weapon’s body. The magazine sits behind the grip, keeping the bullpup layout visible beneath the decoration.

A skeleton from helmet to boots
The Virgil ForceFlex “Skeleton” suit pairs the established ForceFlex undersuit with the Doomsday Skullcap helmet. Pale bones trace the torso, arms and legs against the dark fabric, continuing across the back with a spine and ribcage. The helmet completes the look with a skull face beneath its rounded shell. Both pieces remain functional equipment, carrying the seasonal design into a wearable loadout.
The Skeleton Kit follows the same theme across its clothing and weapon presentation. Its artwork brings the suited character, skull-faced helmet and CQ7 together as one coordinated loadout.

October’s Drake flight-ready pairing
The month’s vehicle selection features two Drake Interplanetary ships, both listed as flight-ready in the October selection. The Pitbull is the combat snub fighter of the pair and the smallest combat vessel in Drake’s range. Its emphasis is on being easy to transport and deploy, with the manufacturer particularly highlighting the threat posed by multiple Pitbulls operating together.

The Ironclad Assault serves a much larger transport role as a heavy dropship carrying cargo, troops and vehicles. It combines the base Ironclad’s substantial hauling capability with heavier weapons to help its payload reach the destination ready for action. That gives October’s pairing two distinct jobs: deploying a small combat craft, and moving a larger force with its equipment.

When the flair might become earnable
CIG’s stated aim is to make most items earnable through play. Subscriber flair may therefore enter the game’s earnable pool after a three-month exclusivity window, but that wording does not guarantee these particular items will appear immediately when the window ends. October’s announcement gives no confirmed acquisition location or reward route for them.
The Impound offers subscriber items without requiring a subscription. Availability of individual items varies.
