Star Citizen Roadmap: Intersec Missions Come to Nyx
More work is coming to Nyx: Intersec’s next contracts will pit players against the Vanduul and offer new blueprints. Here’s what the October roadmap confirms.
Nyx is getting another reason to load up and head out. An expansion of Intersec Defence Solutions’ contracts has been added to Star Citizen’s roadmap, with missions built around the growing Vanduul threat and new blueprints to earn.
The mission pack is the main addition in the 21 October 2026 Roadmap Roundup. It sits under Alpha 4.10 and is marked Committed. That is a development commitment, not an announcement that the contracts are available on Live today.
Intersec’s next contracts take the fight to the Vanduul
The Intersec Defence Solutions Mission Pack expands the organisation’s work in Nyx. Its announced scope combines new missions and gameplay opportunities with blueprint rewards, giving players something to pursue beyond simply completing another combat contract.
For crews looking for more to do in Nyx, that combination is promising: a new set of assignments and a reason to return for rewards. The practical details still matter, though. The announcement does not name the blueprints, explain how they unlock or specify the mission types. It would be premature to recommend a ship, crew size or farming route for them.
Nor does this update attach the pack to a named point release or give a launch date. Its placement under Alpha 4.10 should not be read as confirmation that it was included in the already-released 4.10.2 patch.
The other change is already released
Character Customization Update (Brows) has moved to Released — Alpha 4.10.2. It adds three eyebrow styles and updates six existing options to the current visual standard.
That is a smaller change, but it is also the delivered item in this roundup. The two cards have different statuses: the character options are released; the Intersec expansion is committed. For the wider patch, our Alpha 4.10.2 overview covers the Constellation rework and major fixes.
Where this leaves the road to 1.0
The roadmap’s 1.0 column remains a collection of features planned for inclusion in or before that release. Items can move into an earlier point patch as they become ready; being listed under 1.0 does not mean every feature must wait until then.
This particular update is much narrower. For now, the news to watch in Nyx is Intersec’s expanded contract line. Once the missions arrive, their objectives and blueprint rewards will determine whether they become a regular destination for combat crews. Today’s commitment gives that prospect a firmer place on the roadmap, without yet telling us how the missions will play.
