Ship Showdown 2956 crowns the RSI Perseus, Pirate Week 2026 begins, Alpha 4.10.1 bundle details arrive, and Fight or Flight opens its 2026 season.
Happy Monday, pilot. This week’s dispatch opens with the dust settling after Ship Showdown 2956, where the RSI Perseus claimed the title of Undisputed Champion of the ’Verse. The gunship won the final by taking down the Drake Ironclad Assault, while the Origin M80 and Drake Corsair complete this year’s Final Four and are set to receive Best In Show honors at this year’s Intergalactic Aerospace Expo. Not a quiet week for Drake fans, then.
September’s subscriber perks also arrived, led by the upcoming Vehicle of the Month: the MISC Freelancer MAX, described as a long-range hauler built for the dangers of deep-space delivery. Decorative display cases are also part of the month’s lineup for collectors looking to show off their loot.
CIG also published the August PU Monthly Report, covering what the development teams worked on last month, including efforts that fed into Alpha 4.10: Siege of Orison and work aimed further down the line.
Finally, CIG thanked everyone who attended the PAX West Bar Citizen in Seattle last Friday. The Bar Citizen World Tour continues with its next stop in Milan, Italy, on September 19.
