The Star Citizen GSS ARTEX suit dispenser could be seen in game near Port Olisar airlocks.

The 2 meters replica was created without access to the original asset so the entire model was completely drawn from in game pictures, screenshots and measurements. It's built in two pieces with integrated coffin locks to allow easy manoeuvrability and installation at events. It was later repainted and hade distressed effects added to mimic in-game usage and BritizenCon theme of Grand Barter. It was stripped back and painted with industrial paint designed for longevity and wear, first in deep metallic undercoats before the primary colours. This allowed the JRDF artists to carefully handwear back the paint revealing the “metal” to achieve a realistic worn effect. Graffiti was added in a variety of styles, picking on many Star Citizen lore Easter eggs including among others Xi’an language and political activism references found in Grand Barter such as "Remember Antony Tanaka". This was a way for CIG to be able to hide clues for the players to hidden secrets of the game. A Raspberry pi was added to the build to transform the static screen and lighting to a constant randomly changing “glitching” effect to reinforce the sense that this unit was very damaged. It was shown at BritizenCon 2017.

"Mark Hamill was here" is tagged at the bottom.

From this one project JRDF was born.
