Basher Guide, Specs & Features
The Impound summary

What to know

The Basher strips light-fighter design down to speed, a very small silhouette, and six Size 2 guns. It is quick, agile, and difficult to hit, but light protection means every mistake matters.

Meet the Basher

Grey's Market built the Basher around one blunt idea: put more guns on a smaller fighter. Its six Size 2 weapons, two twin missile racks, and compact silhouette make it dangerous in a close dogfight, while its low durability keeps the pilot honest.

Small, fast, and heavily armed for its size

At 13.7 metres long, the Basher is a compact single-seat fighter. It relies on agility and a difficult-to-hit silhouette rather than heavy armour or deep shielding.

What makes the Basher dangerous

Six guns give the Basher its punch, but the full package depends on getting close, keeping the nose on target, and using speed to stay out of sustained return fire.

Six swappable Size 2 guns

Six pilot-controlled Size 2 guns give the Basher unusually dense direct fire for such a small fighter. The mounts accept other weapons of the same size.

A very small target

The Basher is significantly smaller than other light fighters, making it harder to track and hit when the pilot keeps it moving.

Close-range agility

Light-fighter handling lets the Basher change direction quickly and stay active in close dogfights where larger ships struggle to follow.

Two twin missile racks

Two launchers carry a total of four Size 1 missiles, giving the pilot a second way to engage a target outside the six-gun battery.

Weapons you can replace

The Basher's guns are new, but they are not locked to the ship. Each mount can take another compatible Size 2 weapon when the pilot wants a different loadout.

Storage made from scrap

A weapon rack made from broken fencing and a filing cabinet used for personal storage carry the Grey's Market approach into the space behind the seat.

The Basher's complete weapon package

The Basher carries six Size 2 guns and four Size 1 missiles under one pilot's control. That is a lot of firepower for such a small ship, but it comes with less protection than other fighters in the same class.

Direct fire Bring all six guns onto one target

The Basher does its best work when the pilot can point the full Size 2 battery at the same target and keep it there through the turn.

Ordnance Use four Size 1 missiles to create pressure

The twin racks give the pilot four small missiles for forcing a reaction, interrupting an escape, or opening a short window for the guns.

Tradeoff Avoid the damage you cannot absorb

The Basher is less durable than other light fighters. Its speed and small size are the protection, so staying too long in a bad position is costly.

Get close, hit hard, keep moving

The Basher is built for pilots who are comfortable fighting at short range. A successful attack is quick, deliberate, and over before the fighter's light protection becomes the story.

  1. Make the first move before the target settles

Use the Basher's speed and small silhouette to begin the attack before the other pilot can bring steady fire onto it.

  2. Bring the six-gun battery together

Keep the nose steady long enough for all six Size 2 guns to work on the same target.

  3. Stay difficult to hit

Change direction, use the compact silhouette, and avoid giving the opponent a clean shot back.

  4. Do not trade fire with a tougher fighter

If return fire starts landing, change direction and use the Basher's small silhouette instead of trying to win a damage trade.

A fighter assembled without the rulebook

The Basher borrows familiar ideas and parts from several ships, then joins them with visible repairs, exposed wiring, rough metalwork, and a cockpit built for function.

01 Hot-rod proportions

Large engines sit close to the rear-mounted cockpit, giving the Basher the stance of a stripped-down hot rod rather than a conventional production fighter.

02 Built from familiar pieces

Buccaneer, Gladius, Aurora, and Avenger influences are visible across an airframe that looks repaired, reused, and rebuilt rather than factory-finished.

03 An improvised cockpit

Patchwork mesh, a Drake-style dashboard, and uneven electrical behavior make the cockpit feel assembled by someone who valued a working ship over a neat one.

04 The crane becomes a sight

The removable crane lines up with the reticle as a rough visual aiming guide. A forward camera gives the pilot a clearer view when the crane becomes distracting.

One pilot controls the whole fight

One pilot flies the Basher, selects targets, manages six guns and four missiles, and watches for damage or new threats. The controls are immediate, but there is no second crew member to catch a missed warning.

Built to drive straight into trouble

The cockpit is rough, exposed, and unmistakably Grey's Market. Patchwork mesh and visible wiring surround a direct view forward, with the crane acting as an optional aiming reference.

Awareness Watch the whole fight, not only the target

The Basher cannot afford to trade damage, so incoming fire and room to maneuver matter as much as aim.

Loadout Choose six guns that work together

Compatible Size 2 weapons can be swapped, letting the pilot build a consistent range and ammunition plan.

Survival Protect the Basher's light frame

Changing direction and trying again is better than staying in place once the Basher starts taking hits.
