Heavy firepower for a smaller crew
RSI's Perseus gives a focused crew the reach to patrol dangerous space, challenge larger warships, and protect a fleet with bespoke heavy cannons, torpedoes, and layered point defense.
Heavy patrol gunship
The Perseus is larger and more powerful than an escort gunship, but it needs fewer people than a full capital warship. It is built to patrol dangerous space, fight larger ships, and carry useful cargo between battles.

Twin heavy gun turrets, torpedoes, armor, and a focused multi-crew layout let the Perseus fight large ships without the crew demands of a full capital warship.

The Perseus is flight ready and entered the live game in Alpha 4.4.0. Because Star Citizen remains in active development, specifications, features, and imagery may change over time.
Mission systems
Its weapons, defenses, cargo bay, and crew spaces are designed to help a smaller team fight large ships and remain useful throughout a long patrol.

Two crewed turrets each mount a pair of bespoke Size 8 ballistic cannons for deliberate, high-impact fire against large targets.
Remote anti-fighter turrets and six point-defense turrets help protect the ship from fast threats and incoming ordnance.
Two internal bays carry up to forty Size 5 torpedoes, with autoloaders and reserve racks keeping more torpedoes ready for launch.
A 96 SCU cargo grid can carry freight or a ground vehicle, giving the gunship practical utility beyond its weapons.
A crew of up to seven can operate powerful anti-ship weapons without staffing a much larger capital warship.
Command spaces, living areas, engineering access, and stores support long patrols instead of a single short battle.
Heavy gun batteries
Two manned turrets carry four bespoke Size 8 Medusa cannons and four Size 3 guns. Two remote turrets add four more Size 3 guns, forty Size 5 torpedoes provide the long-range strike, and six point-defense turrets protect the ship from incoming ordnance.

It suits crews that want a serious anti-ship presence without organizing an entire capital-ship department.
The ship works best when the bridge, gun crews, and engineers follow the same battle plan instead of acting on their own.
The heavy guns need ammunition, repairs, and protection. A reliable resupply route and supporting ships are still important parts of operating the Perseus.
From target to patrol
The Perseus works best when every part of the crew follows one simple plan: find the main threat, line up the heavy guns, concentrate fire, and get the ship ready for whatever comes next.

The bridge and sensor crews identify the greatest threat, track its movement, and decide how close the Perseus should get.
The pilot turns the ship so both heavy turrets can fire while keeping escorts and incoming threats in view.
The gunners focus their shots on the same target, giving a smaller group the firepower to challenge a much larger ship.
Engineering, ammunition handling, and crew circulation determine how quickly the ship can return to readiness after contact.
Internal arrangement
Three decks connect the bridge, weapons, engineering, crew areas, and cargo bay in a layout designed for a smaller patrol crew.

The top deck concentrates the bridge, captain's spaces, and the stations that coordinate the ship's heavy batteries.

The central deck keeps the crew close to habitation, operations, and the routes that tie both weapon systems together.

Engineering, machinery access, and lower-deck support spaces keep the ship supplied through extended patrols.

The bridge gives the command crew a clear view of the ship and the battle without requiring the staff of a full capital warship.
