How The Impound Delivers Upgrades & Accounts

Below you’ll find exactly how Star Citizen upgrades are delivered and how full accounts are handled.

Star Citizen Item Delivery

We use the official RSI internal “Gifting” system to deliver Star Citizen items.

Where Is The Gift Sent?

  • We send the gift to the email provided at checkout.
  • If PayPal was used, the gift is sent to your PayPal email address.

After payment, you will receive an email titled:

"Someone sent you a gift from Roberts Space Industries"

Inside that email is a “Claim Gift” button.

⚠ Important – The Email Does NOT Need To Match Your RSI Account

The delivery email does NOT need to be the same email connected to your RSI account.

What actually matters is:

  • You are logged into the correct RSI account when clicking the Claim Gift button.
  • If you are not logged in, RSI will ask you to log in before the claim is processed.

The item will be applied to whichever RSI account is logged in at the moment the claim button is pressed.

How To Claim Properly

  1. Log into the RSI account where you want the item delivered.
  2. Open the gift email.
  3. Click the Claim Gift button.
  4. The item will appear in your RSI hangar.

Once claimed, the gift is permanently attached to that RSI account.

Account Delivery

Accounts are not delivered through the RSI gifting system. Instead, we send the account login details directly to the buyer’s email address.

How Account Delivery Works

  • Login email/username is sent to the buyer email used at checkout.
  • Password details are included.
  • Any relevant access notes are provided.

After receiving the account, you should immediately:

  • Change the password.
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  • Update the recovery email if desired.

Make sure your checkout email is correct and accessible — this is where account credentials will be sent.
