When it comes to evaluating Star Citizen accounts, many factors come into play. Each account is unique, and various elements contribute to its overall value. From the principles of supply and demand to the specifics of the ships and credits within the account, every detail matters. In this guide, we will explore the key factors that influence account valuation and explain why offers can differ so greatly from one account to another. Understanding these elements will help you see how we determine fair and competitive prices for your account.

Supply & Demand
The first factor is the basic economic principle of supply and demand. We look at the current market situation—what's the going rate for credits on other platforms, how many accounts are being offered for sale, and how strong current sales are. These factors are constantly changing, and they help us calculate the current percentage value for credits on an account.
Ships on Your Account
Next, we consider the ships on your account. Are they Lifetime Insurance (LTI) ships? Are they giftable? Are they common or rare? Have they been upgraded, and can they be melted down for store credit? For example, upgraded referral ships often cannot be melted, which means they hold no value for us. If you have a massive Praetorian Package or just standalone ships, these details can add significant value to the account—or reduce it, depending on the situation.
Total Store Credit Value
Another key factor is the "total store credit value," which includes the store credits you have and the melt value of your ships. If you have a large sum of credits (especially in the four-digit range), we also have to consider the risks associated with a single purchase and how long it will take us to break even on the contents of your account. Remember, as resellers, we need to ensure that our investment is eventually recouped.
The Account Itself
This one can have a big impact. For example, an original Backer account from 2012 is more valuable than a newer one. If your account has a Legatus Concierge Ranking, that can also positively influence its value.
Overhead Costs
Lastly, there are the essential overhead costs required to run our business effectively. Here are some of the key expenses:
  • Marketing and Advertising (Google AdWords, Social Media, Content Marketing, Web Hosting)
  • Professional Fees (Tax consultants, accountants, legal services, external programmers)
  • IT Infrastructure (Cloud services, automation tools, online security)
  • Staff and Salaries (Customer support, IT, web design, content creation, SEO)
  • Payment Processing Fees (Shopify, payment gateways, merchant fees)
  • Licensing and Compliance (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)
  • Remote Office Costs (Computers, laptops, printers)
These overhead costs are a significant factor, and our prices and offers naturally reflect them.
