Basher & Shiv Duo Pack plus Corroded Paint - Original Concept LTI
Standalone CCU'ed is a complete ship or vehicle. It is not an upgrade! CCU'ed simply means that it was created by upgrading a smaller ship or vehicle to the one you are buying. Please also note that in the gift email, only the ship that was used as the base for upgrading will be named. Please don't worry, the actual ship you will see in your hangar will be the one you've ordered.
For example, this is how a CCU'ed Polaris looks like in hangar on RSI website.
When you unfold the details you can see that it actually contains a Polaris
Original Concept is a ship or vehicle that is not upgraded in any way or form and comes with Life Time Insurance (LTI). They are usually sought after by collectors. Here is an example image of Original Concept Carrack.
Some rare packages like Collectors Edition ones might be categorized as Original Concept even if they were upgraded, but that's because the main value comes from the original package that is included and not the upgrades. In those cases the upgrades will be listed in the title and exact contents shown in the screenshots of the listing.

Standalone Not CCU'ed
Standalone NOT CCU'ed ships and vehicles as the name suggests are simply items that were not upgraded. They are similar to the Original Concept ones but they do not have LTI.

Grey’s Market duo-pack overview
Grey’s Market creates combat ships by combining salvaged and repurposed components from established manufacturers. Rather than offering polished, factory-standard spacecraft, its vessels emphasize raw performance, unconventional construction, and an unmistakable scrapyard-built appearance.
This pack brings together two complementary combat ships. The Basher is a compact, single-seat fighter designed to bring concentrated firepower into close-range engagements. The Shiv is a larger heavy fighter and transporter with multicrew capability, heavier weapons, cargo space, and onboard accommodation.
Grey’s Market Basher ship overview
The Basher is a single-seat light fighter assembled from recognizable components associated with ships such as the Drake Buccaneer, Aegis Gladius, Aegis Avenger, and RSI Aurora Mk I. Its compact frame is built around six Size 2 gun hardpoints, giving it substantial forward firepower for its class.
The stock configuration combines four Snapper laser repeaters with two Deathroll ballistic Gatling guns. Two Size 2 missile racks provide four Size 1 missiles for additional close-range striking power.

Unlike a dedicated single-purpose fighter, the Shiv can support combat, equipment transport, scavenging, and limited cargo operations. Its 32 SCU cargo grid and onboard storage give it greater utility between engagements than the typical heavy fighter.

Basher – Corroded Paint
The included Corroded Paint is compatible with the Basher. It complements the ship’s improvised construction with a weathered, heavily oxidized appearance across the hull. This cosmetic livery changes the Basher’s appearance without affecting its performance.

Star Citizen offers its players the chance to upgrade their virtual spacecraft through a feature known as "Cross Chassis Upgrades" or CCUs. These upgrades allow users to swap one ship for another while maintaining the original ship's value. To effectively apply these upgrades, follow the instructions below:
1. Purchase the CCU
Before anything else, you must first buy the CCU you want. You can do this by:
- Head over to our upgrades section
- Find the upgrade to the ship you want to upgrade to and choose the correct source ship from the drop down menu
- Complete the purchase
- Wait for the delivery via RSI gifting system (in most cases you should receive an email with the gift link in a few minutes)
- Claim the upgrade by logging in on the RSI website and then clicking the gift link
2. Locate Your CCU in Your Hangar
After purchasing, your CCU will be sent to your online hangar.
- Go to the "My Hangar" section on the RSI website.
- Browse through your hangar's list until you find the CCU you just purchased.
3. Apply the Upgrade
Now that you've located the CCU, the next step is to apply it to your ship.
- Click on the arrow located next to your CCU to expand its details.
- Find the "Apply Upgrade" button and click on it.
- You'll be taken to a page that will show both your current ship and the ship you want to upgrade to. Confirm that the details are accurate.
- Click "Next" to move on to the final step.
- On this page, you'll have to confirm the ship you're upgrading and the ship you're getting. If everything is right, click on the "Apply Upgrade" button.
Once you've done this, the upgrade will be finalized, and your old ship will be replaced with the new one in your hangar.
Important Notes
- Melt Value: It's vital to remember that the melt value (the amount you'll get if you exchange your ship for store credit) remains based on the original ship's cost plus the cost of the CCU.
- Downgrades: As of the last update, it's not possible to downgrade ships. If you want a cheaper ship, you'll have to melt your current ship and repurchase the desired one.
- Insurance: When you upgrade a ship, the insurance and other bonuses from the original ship will carry over to the new ship.
- Chaining CCU's: If you are unable to find a direct CCU, you can simply chain the upgrades and apply them one by one to get the ship you want.
By following the above steps, you can smoothly upgrade your ship in Star Citizen and explore the vast universe in a brand-new spacecraft. Always make sure to confirm all details before finalizing any upgrade to avoid potential issues.
